The actual facilities are nice, but the owners are the most terrible people. Seriously, I dont care how nice it looks or how many ammenities it has, the people you will have to deal with are so unreasonable, irrational, and nasty it is not worth any of your money. NEVER STAY HERE

we stayed here for three nights. may 1st-3rd. the lady that runs this great place is really helpful. she grabbed a map when we first got there and circled all the places to see. we stayed in room #5. this room was big with a king size bed. the desk, chairs, night tables, closet, etc were all brand new along with the click flooring, trim, doors, and even light fixtures. this room boasts twelve-foot ceilings. the bathroom was very big as well, and very clean with newer tile and bathroom fixtures. the hot water is plentiful and the shower is big enough for two. they have a TV with satellite but all italian. the internet is high speed and free twenty-four hours a day (unlimited use). the only down side is that it is about a ten-minute walk from the train station in the opposite direction of all the attractions, and there is alot of noisy traffic, and the blow dryer is not the best but these are the only minor things i can say bad. i would definitely stay here again -- very comfortable and for only seventy euro a night it was money well spent. oh and the flowers in the room were real, and a pleasant suprise. it just shows you how much Mara salvietti cares about the people staying at her great guesthouse. the pictures displayed here on there listing are exactly how our room looked, and the washroom.

AMAZING!!! We had a quad room that cost around $100 Canadian per night between all of us. Hardwood floors, clean linens, maid service, FREE INTERNET! Very nice bathroom with hot, good pressure shower. The lady who runs it gave us great advice on things to see and do in Florence, even gave us a map with her recommendations. Would definitely recommend. My only complaint was the smell in the lobby of the building... the hotel is part of another big building and it smelled like raw sewage. The hotel itself including the actual hotel lobby smelled fine, but as soon as you entered the main building it was time to hold your nose!!!

Near to train station and town cantre, good base for seeing everything. Clean comfortable rooms, friendly helpful staff. Excellent, given that it is a hostel.
