“Very good for the value of money and for location”

Benivieni hotel was fantastic for the location. You can arrange every destination by foot and always return to your hotel. The room was very clean and big enough. The staff was very polite and very helpful for every questions that we have for visiting the city.
The only thing that needs to be better was the breakfast which was at the most basic breakfast that we have ever seen.

“Clean and Convenient but Noisy”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 January 2012

We stayed 3 nights at Hotel Benivieni. It is an absolutely perfect location in the heart of Florence and walking distance to everything you need including the train station. The hotel was spotlessly clean but unfortunately we didn't get a good nights sleep the entire stay. The laminate hard flooring throughout the hotel hallways and rooms means you will hear every person coming and going on your floor. Walls are not soundproof so prepared to hear every toilet flush and cough from your neighboring room. Heat was not adjustable even the staff could not get the temperature down in our room so we wound up shutting it off but even then it was not a comfortable sleeping temperature (lowest we got was 23 deg cel). If you are facing a street or alley you will hear a lot of noise from nearby restaurants, shops and residents coming and going early or late. Last but not least proximity to the cathedral means you will hear the bells ring early so don't expect to sleep late. Beds are small but comfortable but shower is barely big enough for an average size adult to turn around in. So if you are larger than average you may have some difficulties showering.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the elevator and outside alleys.

“Good value, very good experience!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 January 2012

My fiancee and I stayed at this hotel in December for 6 days. It is a great location - half a block from the Duomo - can't be beat if you want to soak up the sites. We were in room 101 (inside room, no view) - good size room. Given the proximity to the Duomo, its bells will wake you up around 8am on weekdays. However, after the first day we were not bothered and given the walking we were doing, mostly slept through it. Sonia and her family owns this place and they run it like a well-oiled machine. Don't forget to ask them their recommendations on what is important to you. We were happy to get their advice on shopping, Pisa visit, leather, restaurants and were not let down. A block behind the hotel (on Via Corso) is a small coffee-bar operated by two older gents and a young woman. We had fresh donuts and coffee at this bar everyday and we liked it so much that we went for a pizza dinner with wine and beer one evening.....very nice people. All things considered very good value if you want to be close to the Duomo and the sites. Thank you Sonia, Pablo and Mr M.

“Excellent location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 January 2012

We stayed at the Benivieni in October 2011 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and nicely decorated and the location was excellent. The hotel is located about a block from the duomo. The breakfast provided each morning was good and very friendly service was provided by all staff. I would certainly stay at this hotel again.

“Hidden Gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 December 2011

In September 2011 we had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Benivieni..fantastic location, the rooms were very, very accommodating, spacious and well appointed. Rome was pokey this was spacious. This family run hotel was a pleasant surprise, everyone was helpful and it certainly made our stay in Florence as special as it was!
