Clean room. Wifi handy. 40 mins on the train to Florence 6.20 euro return. Regular coach parties can make breakfast interesting when you arrive at the same time but the staff are alert to that and treated us very well bringing selected food and drink to our table. Reception friendly too. A good value for money hotel for visiting Florence. Free parking also.

Just got back from visiting Tuscany for 8 days. We stayed at the I Ciliegi Hotel just outside of Florence. The hotel is just off the A1 highway and route 69 which makes for easy trips to the entire Tuscany province. Of course being so close to the main roads it can get a little noisy in the morning.
The hotel itself is nothing special but has the advantage of a large parking area. The air conditioning was more than adequate - it was July, and they didn't shut it down during the day (like some other places). The service was great- they went out of their way to make us feel at home; clean sheets and towels every day, good coffee in the morning. The place isn't a four star like advertized (breakfast was just continental style) but certainly good enough for a couple of days. Big advantage- it is only 20 min from Florence- close enough to travel back and forth during the day.
