My wife and I stayed here at the beginning of February 2012 during a snow shower/cold front. The hotel is very close SMN (Train Station) and is an easy walk to Medici Chapel/Duomo/Uffizi. The hotel is very close to Galleria Accademia, which is nice.
The rooms are typically European, but have a bathtub which is nice after a long day of walking. The staff is very courteous and helpful- I can't imagine them not trying to help someone with a problem. The housekeeping is very nice and when I dropped a luggage key, the housekeeper chased me down and gave it back.
The staff speaks good English- which is very convenient.
The breakfast was generous. I typically placed ham and cheese in a croissant, which made breakfast delicious. Also, very easy to take the breakfast to go for an afternoon snack.
There are to great restaurants neat the hotel. One is four doors down on the left and recommend by the staff. The food is authentic and delicious. I even ordered a second entree of pasta to the waitress suprise. The second restaurent is a bistro three blocks down on the north side of San't Antonio between Via della Amorino and Via Faenza. Both restaurants are reasonably priced and have great food.
