This is a wonderfully quaint, CLEAN, safe, wonderfully located hotel in Florence. I actually stayed in two different rooms because I returned to Florence after 8 or so days away. The staff is wonderful. They are cheerful, helpful and appreciative. Hotel Il Gruelfo Bianco is stuffed with antiques and wonderful architecture as well as interesting art throughout the hotel. The hotel stay includes a great breakfast. The hotel also offers a great little bistro for a cappuccino or even a great daily prepared meal. Hotel Il Guelfo Bianco is located a few blocks from the Duomo and there are some great trattorias and restaurants all around. I have already recommended the hotel to friends and I will continue to do so. The staff tries hard to make your stay wonderful and for my family, they did a GREAT job. If you go to Florence, check out this hotel.

The hotel is very central and with lovely detail in the room- it felt special. No noise from the street when windows are closed- we stayed in the street facing room and my other half is a light sleeper. The breakfast was good and fresh. The only minus for me was that I found beds and pillows a bit hard and uncomfortable. However, the staff very friendly and let me try other beds in other rooms and I got used to beds by second night. I will choose the hotel again if I ever went to Florence. We chose this hotel based on triadvisor reviews and were not disppointed.

We stayed in January 2012 and had a great experience. Staff was always extremely helpful and helped to make our stay very comfortable. The view from the window to the garden was like something you see in the movies. Within walking distance to all the things you will want to see when you are in Florence (We only took a Taxi to the hotel and then to the airport). Free breakfast was great along. I would recommend staying at this hotel if you plan to visit Florence.

Stayed 4 nights in a junior suite. It was a very good sized room although I think typical for Florence, a little old looking room (unless you stay in a chain hotel or willing to pay a few hundred euros a nite). Friendly staff and good breakfast (included in rates). 5 minutes walking distance to duomo and acccademia. Amd 10 min to train station.
