I stayed here before in '07 as a group from college. I enjoyed it so much I stayed here again earlier this year with my boyfriend on yet another trip with my classmates from Uni. It is located very close to the train station. On leaving we had to take a taxi due to the heavy rain. Florence the city itself is very manageable to get round by foot, so we walked everywhere. Restaurants are close to the train station and there are plenty of shops in the train station.

The room we got was 'cosy' but it didn't mater to us as there was just the two of us. The bathroom had plenty of room, the shower was AMAZING! Hot water with a strong pressure. The room and bathroom was very clean and tidied every day. We slept well with no disturbance, which was what I needed one night when I got a migraine. Breakfast was very good. Cereal, a selection of fruit juices, yogurt, pastries, ham, cheese and the packet of toast which is served all over Italy. The receptionist at the hotel were always friendly, had great English and were very helpful with any questions we had about the city.

I would stay here again and recommend to anyone else.

We've booked this place through recommendation and having read reviews but our personal experience somewhat different from some reviews here. We originally booked for two nights and ended up moving after one night stay. We arrived by train and walk from the station which is quite easy, the location is not very nice and it seems like the hotel is situated in the bad neighbourhood, we were too worried to go out on the first night and ended up walking down the road buying snack to eat in the room. We have to carry our suitcases into the room ourselves as there seem to be one staff working there. The room was dark and bed sheet was not clean with some stain and hair on it.The breakfast selection is poor with hard rock bread and no toast available. The plug sockets in the room were not working at all despite an attempt with an adapter from the hotel. The wi-fi didn't work and we have to ask to use the hotel computer. Overall the hotel is less than 3 star as published and we will not be going back there again. However, Marco at the reception was very nice.

This place looks like a dump from the outside. The lobby is shabby and the rooms look like you stepped into the 1960s. Small rooms with small bathrooms. However, it was very clean, and with very helpful staff. They will park your car for you if the lot gets too crowded. Very knowledgeable staff. The breakfast was good. Basically, you get what you pay for here.
