We stayed for 4 nights at the Hotel Rivoli in Florence and for us it was perfect. We flew into Pisa and arrived in Florence by train. The hotel is a very short walk from the train station.
At first the street it is on looked a little boring but soon realized it is a nice quiet place to sleep. The room was very comfy - ours looked over the court yard and I had asked for a room with a balcony.
We had a small fridge (mini bar) that we stacked with food, snacks and cold drinks which was really handy when we came back to the hotel to relax. The front desk also gave us a kettle so we could make tea and coffee in the morning.
We had breakfast included. There was plenty to chose from - eggs, cheese, cereal, meats, breads and cakes. This would fill us up until lunch.
All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room and sheets were clean and the beds were lovely.
There is a computer in the lobby and a nice sitting area outside near the pool.
Everything in Florence is within walking distance.
