My husband and I stayed at Hotel Rivoli for one night and our stay was in all, pleasant. The Bell Boy immediately took our bags when we entered into the hotel and was very courteous and pleasant. The front staff was polite and helped us out with our questions and concerns.

The quality of the rooms was okay but the carpets needed some cleaning as we didn't feel they were clean and had to resort to walking around the room with slippers. Because of the carpet presumably, our room also had a funny, mouldy smell to it which did not disturb us that much but we definitely noticed it.

The location of the hotel is excellent, very close to the tourist attractions.

The restaurant is great!

We were on the 2nd hotel of 3 week trip (Rome, Venice, Florence & Lake Garda), we arrived via train, private transfer from station to hotel. In fact, so convenient for the station that the transfer wasn't necessary. The outside of this hotel gives one no indication of delights within. Step through the doors into a charming cool & beamed ceiling enclave to be met by the highly professional, unflappable, calm & extremely friendly and smiling Francesca. We had two rooms for 4 nights, ours was comfortable, good sized and had the wonderful advantage of balcony with table & chairs overlooking the courtyard - what a delight - so pretty and a lot of trouble taken to make this a very special place to be. I can't speak too highly of the extremely high quality of the staff, elegant service from Luciano & Elona - wonderful diners outside - 5 star cuisine to delight, great wine recommendations. Good breakfast selection. Very clean, deferential service. Loved the pool, loved the plants and pretty outside spaces. The location is excellent, everything is close by - didn't want to leave and would recommend this hotel above all others (4) that we stayed at. I hope that the staff get rewarded - they are truly the best in the hospitality business - thank you to all of you. P.S. They will organise just about anything for you.

Great value, the rooms were large, bathrooms beautiful and the amenities and public spaces lovely, especially liked the garden for breakfast and the hot tub for relaxing after a long day of sight seeing...staff was a bit stuffy...great location near train station.

Hotel Rivoli in Florence, Italy is one of the best Hotels I have stayed at in over 40 years of traveling. Giani, the manager and owner of the hotel, is always available to help with special requests and the staff is among the most hospitable and accomodating I have ever encountered. The Hotel is very nicely appointed, extremely comfortable with a morning breakfast that is again the best I have been offered in my extensive travels. Hotel Rivoli is always cool which is most important for July travelers and very very clean. The location is excellent as you are within 5 minutes walk from the central train and bus station. The neighborhood is safe and interesting with Santa Maria Novella only half a block away from the hotel not to mention one of the best Gelaterias in Florence. Again, a more than wonderful stay and am planning on a return trip already.....Rodney Grisso
