“okay place, good value”

The room was clean and spacious. The bathroom though was really small (width wise). We felt someone of little over average girth might find it hard to get into the bathroom. The room had simple furnishings, but it was clean which was more important for us. The person at the reception was helpful, he gave us detailed directions on a map to all the major attractions. Location is good too, close to main attractions. This had more like a guest house feel to it, and getting bags up the flight of stairs was a bit of pain.
But for the amazingly low price, this was a steal. Especially if you are like us and don't plan to stay in your room and need a clean safe place to crash at night. Recommended for budget travelers, family.

“Inexpensive, kind, and charming”

My mother and I started at Loggia Fiorentina on our first night in Italy after long international flights. The staff people are fabulous - unfailingly kind and helpful (they went out of their way for us as we struggled with several issues related to the rest of the trip), fluent in both English and Italian, and probably several other languages as well. There is a fairly steep flight of stairs to come up, but otherwise the location is really good - close to lots of restaurants, to San Marco square where all the buses stop, and not far from the train station, but also in a slightly quieter part of town than further toward the center. The rooms are cute! Small but colorful. The decor is eccentric and "world culture" in a way that felt refreshing. I do recommend asking for the rooms toward the back, which are quieter, but they have double windows everywhere, so even facing the street is quiet with the windows closed. The beds and rooms were very comfortable, and I never had an issue with waiting for the bathroom or shower. Wifi works well and they have a computer in the lobby. A great place!

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the back on the same floor as the lobby.

“Excellent price/quality relationship”

I was looking for a nice, beautiful but affordable stay in Florence, one of my favourite cities in Italy. Those who have already been there may know that there's a huge gap between the cheap, lousy hotels and the expensive, nice ones. Loggia Fiorentina does the trick and offers beautiful rooms, excellent service and unbeatable position for a fair price. Those who complain in some comments I've red should remind that this is Florence, one of the most visited cities in the world, an they probaly don't have the experience of travelling in Italy I have. Loggia Fiorentina definitely is a rare gem and anyone who is an experienced traveller will appreciate it.

“The most friendly staff I had in Italy”

Hotel Loggia Fiorentina is my favorite accommodation in Italy. I just saw some negative comments about their staff, but turned out the staff here are the most friendly ones I had in Italy. I met an Asian couple at the lobby, and they also said the staff here are much better than they had in other cities. (I am an Asian, and I speak English and Mandarin) I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights, and I hung out at the lobby a lot, so I had the chance to meet pretty much all the staff. All of them are very nice, patient to answer questions and meet customer's needs. The hotel is definitely stylish and clean. We booked a double room with shared bathroom. There is a sink in the bedroom, so it's very convenient. They have free wi-fi. Even if you don't have your own laptop, they have a desktop at the lobby, free of charge. If you eat their breakfast, the Cappuccino is the best!!! I miss it!

“Great location and great staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 October 2011

We were very pleased with our stay. Everyone who worked at the desk was very helpful, from giving us an overview of what to see in the city to great restaurant recommendations. Fabrizio even called ahead, unbeknownst to us, and we were greeted by name by the waiter - what a great experience in another country! The rooms were kept very clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast they offered was quite good. The hotel is only a ten minute walk from the main train station and L'Accademia Musuem. I highly recommend this hotel.
