Excellent tour, It was a great way to tour the "Meat of Rome." My friend and I had to take ridicule from our wives, who remained back at the hotel, how tough the tour would be on a bicycle and how "pure silly" it was for us to schedule such. That was the last thing it was, the tour was all encompassing , the guide was excellent, spoke well over the microphone as we passed the many little things that you never see on a bus tour as well as stopped and showed not only a specific site but most often, by the use of a supplemental book, showed the before and after of the particular ruin.

I would highly recommend the tour to anyone that has the least bit of bicycling knowledge. I had not been on a bike in five years.

We were only in Rome for 2 days and decided to do a bike tour to see all the sights. We were not disappointed! It was simply fantastic. We saw everything! Our tour guide, Ferdinando was fantastic and very informative. The bikes were comfortable and we felt safe with Ferdinando at all times. It was exceptional value for money. This was my second visit to Rome and can honestly say, this bike tour is the ONLY way to see Rome! We highly recommend it.

Our guide was wonderful - intelligent, informative, patient and friendly. We learned a lot more taking the bike tour than if we had been on a bus tour. Although the weather was very hot our guide always seemed to find the perfect location in the shade to inform us of the sites before us. Initially I was concerned about the traffic but it wasn't an issue at all since we were on bikes. Our son who is 13 loved seeing the sites by bike and I know he would have been bored if we had taken a coach tour. When we return to Italy we will be sure to take another bike tour with your company in a different Italian city. I would highly recommend your company for anyone that is interested in cycling or taking a Segway tour.

We booked two bike tours with Italy Cruiser Bike Tours, one in Florence and the other in Rome. The sunset bike tour in Florence was lovely; a great way to cover a lot of ground and get exercise at the same time. The timing fit perfectly with our schedule; we were able to visit museums during the day while they were open and then continue touring the city on bikes in the early evening. It was also a much more pleasant temperature for biking at 6:30 p.m.! Our guide, Valentina, was very knowledgeable and personable and supplemented her commentary with pictures and videos from her iPod. My only quibble with the Florence tour, and this is very minor, is that the website indicated that free gelato was included with the tour. It turns out that the gelato stop is included on the daytime tours but not the sunset tour. Our bike tour in Rome was a highlight of our stay there. Our guide, whose name I have unfortunately forgotten, was a grad student in archaeology and had been on the dig when Maxentius' weapons (lost in the battle with Constantine) were discovered. He had a booklet of pictures showing the ruins as they would have looked 2000 years ago, as well as the find showing Maxentius' half-unearthed weapons. It was like having our own personal expert on Ancient Rome with us. And I'm happy to report that on the Rome bike tour we did stop for complimentary gelato. I highly recommend this company; you will not be disappointed!
