My husband & I enjoyed our stay at Corys for 3 nights. It was a little out of the way as others have mentioned, but transportation from the train station was immediately available for us upon arrival. Various other transports to town from the hotel were made available upon request. The final bill for many trips to and from 20 Euros was certainly acceptable to us. The meals were very good as was the lovely fresh baked breakfast breads that were available as part of our stay. The room was warm and cozy with fantastic views. The bathroom had the most fantastic shower with wall, ceiling and shower jets and even temperatures and pressure. Difficult to find in Italy so much appreciated. The wine cellar was more than adequate for anyone including a sommelier! The family run business with son, daughter and husband wife complemented the hotel. We would never hesitate to stay there again and fully recommend it to those looking for a Tuscan experience. 4 Stars for sure. Thanks Guiseppe

Have stayed here several times and have had good experiences. The owner is a charming man who provides excellent locally produced food and wine and if you are travelling with children there are wonderful apartments just across from the main hotel which are full of character and ideal for a family. The rooms in the main hotel are very clean, comfortable and have high quality bathrooms.
Pool was out of action and covered over AGAIN and it is really worth checking before you arrive it is as advertised. The reception was unmanned upon arrival and most of the time. Alarmingly my passport was put in little alcove right near door to street. I was concerned that anyone could have wandered in and taken it so I took it back. Nobody ever asked if I had done so or noticed it was not where they put it. Music in reception too loud sometimes during the day - Would be better without it at all. No one to welcome us on reception when we arrived. Staff very late to open up for breakfast one day.
This is not cheap and the views and rooms are excellent but they need to up their game considerably to justify this and the pool being out of action a major disappointment.

We found Corys Hotel to be a great, relaxing and comfortable place to stay while visiting Cortona. I would definitely visit there again if in Italy. A family run business with a dedication to their customers. The hotel has a very warm and cosy feel to it. After spending 2 months traveling around Europe, Hotel Corys provided a much needed 3 nights of comfort and relaxation. Beds are comfy, rooms good size and great coffee. The availability of wifi is an added benefit.

We spend at least five weeks every year at our own place on Lake Trasimeno. We usually go out for lunch and today I suggested Corys as I'd heard the view was great. Stupidly I assumed the food would be at least passably good and reasonable value. What a shock - I had pici for main - it's hard too get pici wrong, but, boy did they succeed - if it wasn't re-heated I'll eat my hat. There were 3 of us with starter, main, a bottle of decent wine and water - the food alone was over €100 - perhaps it's no surprise there was no-one else there. The gardens are a mess - the swimming pool is filthy - the glasses put out for our wine were not sparkling. Yesterday we went to Bevagne and for under €100 we had one of the best lunches I have ever had - food delicious, wine excellent, service second to none, place clean as a new pin. Corys will go bust unless they clean up their act - in more ways than one. We often recommend places to go to our friends - this is the first time I'll be saying 'absolutely do not go'.
