We stayed at Il Parco for a week at the end of October 2009. The hotel has the feel of an English National Trust property - the rooms are elegant with antiques and were warm without heating even with cold evenings. The gardens are beautiful and the hotel's name really does reflect its huge asset.
We could not fault the helpful staff and the quality of the breakfast - however one tiny
point - could we have outside lights on the terraces - the mad English still like to read on cold (18oC) evenings.
The one downside is the location - no close restaurants and a 10 minute DRIVE into Siracusa. I highlight drive because this involves the daily risk to life that comes from getting into a car in Sicily. Everyone jokes about it but the driving everywhere was simply criminal not just bad but criminal.
