“Comfortable Hotel but no way a 4star !!!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 September 2006

I spent 13 nights in this hotel on business late Aug beginning Sept 2006. This hotel is clean & pleasent but no way a 4 star as advertised. Unfortunately there is no room service at this hotel which can be quite disappointing if you arrive late evening/night & want to relax with a room service meal ! There is a lovely restaurant aprox 20 yards from the hotel (exit hotel & turn left) which does lovely food with great presentation). Aprox taxi fare from OLB airport to this hotel is EUR 20.00

The staff are polite & most of the reception staff speak very good English. There is a lovely picturesque park directly across the road from the Martini which is a must & the shops/restaurants are aprox 5-7 minute walk.

  • Liked — Quiet with a lovely park across the road
  • Disliked — No room service nor onsite restaurant

“Flat Martini?”

Hotel Martini isnt such a bad Hotel but it sure isnt 4 star.
I was there for business for one night only so it was a whirlwind visit, but after seeing the brochure on the front desk and what was actually there it was a joke!
The lift is so slow you can not feel it move.
The Hotel is situated in a shopping center, it forms the back of the centre in fact, the Grande entrance is under some stairs going up to the next level.
The beautiful sundeck shown with deck chairs overlooking the water is now a bare rusting roof top that is in total disrepair.
The water is now a backwater with rubbish etc all round the edge of it. If you are travelling on biz. then its OK, but a couple on holidays no way ...
I would only stay there again if I was really stuck.

  • Liked — Handy
  • Disliked — Small shower!
  • Tips/Secrets — Check trip advisor before going anywhere! As long as they stay honest you cant go wrong.

“Friendly Martini”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 May 2006

My friend and I recently stayed at the Hotel Martini and quite frankly having the read the previous write up on your site, felt very dubious about staying there. However, my fears were unfounded as we could not have wished for a warmer welcome . The staff were without exception all helpful and friendly and the room was very clean. The location of the hotel means that you can visit the Costa Smeralda, aptly nicknamed "millionaire's playground" and about twenty minutes taxi ride away. We even managed to join in an Italian tourist party on the overground train !
Whilst back at the hotel there is an excellent restaurant 2 minutes walk away called ristorante da Adri's where we were treated like royalty. We both felt that the hotel represented very good value for money and would both happily return.

“The Hotel that looks that it closed 10 years ago!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 March 2006

The leaflet for this Hotel looks really really nice but I'm sure the photos were taken years ago and they've had problems since. The place is deserted!! It feels like it should have tumble weed blowing around it! It smells so musty and is in the most horrible area with a 10/15 minute walk over a railway crossing to the shops and restaurants.

The bedrooms are clean but the beds are rock hard, overlooking the car park.

The roof terrace does not look like the one in the leaflet, when you go up there, there is nothing except one broken sun bed!(And seagulls!). You can see the neon sign with Hotel Martini on it which you would expect to flicker on and off and then go out!

We only stayed here for one night thank goodness as we had to be near the airport for our flight home so we were lucky!

It is classed as a 4* but I would only give it a 1!(But the price was for a 4*!!!)
