This is a perfect place to stay in Nuoro, right on the main Corso Garibaldi, beautiful big rooms and spacious communal/breakfast area, incredibly friendly hosts and Paulo can advise you on wherever you should go in the area! Terrace on the roof, free Wifi, nice breakfast thrown in - what more could you want. Thank you!

You can park right outside but it's on a meter between 9am and 7pm, 1euro an hour. Otherwise you can park round a couple of corners.

We stayed 5 nights with Silvia e Paolo 6-11 June. We would thoroughly recommend their fine establishment. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Breakfast is basic but fine and the freshly made coffee is superb. Silvia and Paolo are extremely friendly and helpful and made us feel completely at home. Their rooftop terrace is perfect for an end of day vino or Mirto! Free wireless internet was a bonus.The location is perfect - right on the main street. There is noise during the day time, but a nice sort of noise ... chatter, general city life ... nothing too intrusive. Excellent double glazing means there is no problem sleeping, despite the busy location, when things quieten down around 11pm). Bars and restaurants at the doorstep, as well as museums etc within easy walking distance. Paolo speaks very good English and gave us some excellent recommendations on where to eat and visit. Nuoro was a good place to visit - it feels like a 'real' Sardinian town - unpretentious but interesting and lively. This B&B is excellent value for money and a really nice place to stay (even for late-40s comfort lovers like us). No parking on site, but Paolo kindly went with us to show us a nearby free parking area. The only tip I'd give to visitors is that Silvia e Paolo's place has an unobtrusive doorway that's easy to miss. There is a plaque (for a sailing school, I think!) on the wall beside the door, but you have to look at the names on the doorbell buttons to discover you are in the right place (it's next to a bookshop). We stayed at Silvia e Paolo for just one night as we were passing through Nuoro. Having been made to feel so very welcome we wished we had been able to stay longer!

Paolo and Silvia made us feel very welcome and provided some great recommendations as to where to eat. As such, we experienced some wonderful, traditional Sardinian food, which was not only delicious, but exceptional value!

The accommodation is spotlessly clean, breakfast is lovely and it couldn't be more central as the B&B looks down over the main street in the old town. The couple are currently investing in their roof terrace which is a lovely venue for a couple of drinks before an evening out.

If i were to identify a down-side, it would be that you have to walk across the breakfast room to access the shared bathroom, but that really is nit-picking. The beds are comfortable, and the rooms, even though they look onto the main pedestrian thoroughfare are really quiet. There's even a sweet added touch of a bowl of sweets in the room.

Silvia and Paolo are extremely proud of their B&B and would do anything to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Paolo speaks wonderful English and has all kinds of hints and tips for not only Nuoro, but other places to visit across Sardinia.

I stayed at Silvia and Paolo's while driving through Sardinia and when I got there it almost like I was coming home or to stay with family... They were extremely warm, helpful and they live in a lovely apartment, very tastefully decorated and clean as could possibly be... Very highly recommended!
