We stayed three nights at the Kastrum in August 2010 with our 4 years son. The rooms are set in a renewed old house in the historical center of Cagliari. Bit difficult to reach if you have a big car, but charming as all the old town centers in Italy!
The room was big and well organized, bath with shower very clean. Stunning view over the whole gulf from the roof small terrace, where breakfast can be taken.
Michele welcomed us with very useful hints on the town and the surroundings: best beaches, restaurants...and also offered a sunshade for our day on the seaside.
WiFi was available and functioning pretty well, which is not common in B&B in Italy!. Just one unique remark on the breakfast, a bit too much "industrial".
Definitely a place we would like to come back to!

Stayed in the Panoramic suite for 4 days of a 7 day stay & we were blown away at the standard of accommodation. Michele was a discreet but perfect host even delivering an umbrella to our room on a day that rain was expected!! The terrace was a delight with fabulous views. The breakfast was simple and a new coffee machine has certainly answered previous criticism!! For the physically able RK is ideal for a truly local experience... Be sure to listen to Michele's restaurant recommendations, he knows what he is talking about!! We will definitely be returning and taking friends to stay in the adjoining Panoramic room.

We stayed at the Residenza Kastrum for our honeymoon for 4 nights in the panoramic room. The room is spacious, clean, and has excellent views of Cagliari.

Michel is a fantastic host, and provided good tips for our stay including some lovely restaurants. There is also free car parking nearby. We loved the walk down from the hotel into the town every day. The streets of Cagliari are very nice. Also a basic but nice breakfast is povided every day, with refreshments and water available at any time. Overall this was much better than staying at a hotel chain, and the service recieved was very good.

The only negatives are that the weather was a little cold and sometimes the room also became cold, however this should not be a problem for most people. Check out was a little on the early side at 10:00AM and housekeeping comes in early!

We arrived at Residenza Kastrum after many hassles with finding Europcar drop off didn't exist!!!!!!!!! That's another story!!) Michele was very helpful our whole stay. Loved the location, room, roof and the breakfast. Value for money was excellent. Roof terrace fabulous. Loved every minute. Thanks and well done Michele for making your guests feel special.
