B&B Abete wasn't so much a B&B as a spacious complete apartment. We had a bedroom, toilet and fully-fitted kitchen (with a stocked fridge of milk, juices and beer) all to ourselves. There was a separate front door so we didn't disturb the family when we came and went - although the elderly/disabled may have trouble as it is up a flight of outdoor stairs.
Every morning a basket of fresh breads, croissants and fruit were discretely left on the kitchen table, and when we came back in the evenings the washing-up fairy had visited and left everything fresh for the next day.
The apartment also had free wifi access, an umbrella and raincoat for our use (especially helpful!), and two bicycles we could use whenever we liked - if we'd felt brave enough to tackle Veronese traffic!
Chiara and Paolo were very nice, helpful and friendly, providing us when lots of information, and overall making our stay fantastic.
There is a bus service to Abete but it is infrequent, doesn't run very late and the routes are often difficult to decipher (best way is to find the tourist office and get one of the free giant fold-out route maps).
However, the B&B is just north of the city centre, and only a 20 minute walk from Piazza Erbe for young feet, so the buses are only really needed when it's raining or you have lots of luggage.
Fantastic. Would recommend it highly!
