“Perfect place to stay in Venice!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 September 2010

My wife and I stayed here 2 nights on our honeymoon. It was our most favorite place to stay out of the 10-night trip. It's easy to find and within walking distance from the train station which saves you $$$ on water bus or taxi. Also located in a residential neighborhood so it's really quiet. About a 10-15 minute walk (fun walk though) to the major sites. The staff was exceptional and provided us with great restaurant recommendations. Free internet was a nice addition!! If you are looking for a quiet place off the beaten path, this is your place.

“Belissimo!”

We adored Ca San Giorgio! What a treasure. The location is just perfect, just a minute to the Grand Canal, but without the hassles of thousands of tourist. A lovely walk along the back canals will get you to all the major sites and what's more you actually see the best parts of Venice. There are many lovely restaurants nearby. Just ask Sylvia and the other hotel staff for recommendations. The Hotel is very quaint, the rooms large and well furnished with free WiFi - not a rip-off like the 5star hotels!
What sets this hotel apart is Sylvia and the staff. They just couldn't be more helpful and are just so welcoming and friendly.

“Ca' San Giorgio is a wonderful hotel with character”

Ca' San Giorgio is an adorable little hotel just off the Grand Canal. We were able to check into the hotel early after arriving on a red eye. We were upgraded to a wonderful triple room on the top floor with beamed ceilings. The room and bathroom were spotless. The lovely blond woman at the check in took about 20 minutes to go over the map of Venice with us and gave us a great recommendation for lunch. She highlighted a walking route off the beaten path in Venice. The location is good - not too far from the vaporetto stop and steps from the traghetto which you can use to cross the Grand Canal. Breakfast and wireless internet is included.

“Lovely hidden gem, 10 minutes walk from the main train station”

We really enjoyed our stay at the Ca San Giorgio. We found it quite difficult to find but once we had found it, it was in a great location. Away from the main tourist areas but within easy walking distance of the bus and train stations and all the main sights. Due to it's location on a quiet street we slept very well and were not disturbed at all by street noise. Rooms were tastefully deforated with a small sofa area.
Reception staff were very friendly. Waited for us to arrive at 20:15 even though the reception usually closes at 20:00. The staff were very friendly and were keen to give us advice on restaurants to eat and other tourist information if we had wanted it.
Breakfast was ok. Pretty basic but plentiful.

“A gem”

Great location, great people, a great place to wake up in and to look forward to after a day of touring. In the heart of town but away from all frenetic activity. We were charmed one evening to find couples Tangoing in our nearby square as the elderly in wheelchairs and babies in their mothers' arms lookied on. Try to get the top floor room with terrace if you can!
