“absolutely perfect”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 July 2010

Travelled to Italy with my husband and 18 year old son. We stayed for 2 nights, absolutely loved this b&b. The Owners were very helpful with restaurant suggestions, and so friendly. The room was spotless, well appointed - high ceilings and a little balcony which allowed us to view the canal. One of the best breakfasts we had in Italy. Simply magical. We WILL be back!

“Wonderful stay, best hotel of the trip!”

My partner and I stayed here for one night but wish we could have spent our entire trip in this hotel!!!

Firstly the hotel was rather difficult to locate and as we arrived late in the day at dusk we got lost a number of times before we got the right spot - all part of the fun!

The receptionist was absolutely lovely she spent so much time telling us where to eat and what to see in our short time in Venice, we were very grateful as she seemed genuine and her recommendations were spot on.

The room was small but lovely with great attention to detail. I fell in love with the bathroom and the divine Venetian tiles, I only wish we could have stayed longer!

“Very nice B & B, but a big difference between higher and lower priced rooms”

We very much enjoyed our stay of 3 nights at Ca' Giorgio. All the staff were exceedingly nice and helpful. The breakfasts were wonderful and elegant. We, however, stayed in a "ground floor" room (actually a couple steps below ground floor) that was not nearly as nice as the upstairs rooms. Upstairs: very nice to elegant rooms. Groundfloor: We discovered the two lower priced rooms were dramatically different than the more expensive rooms. We did not get the Economy Room (which sounds similar to our next-higher priced room, but much smaller.) Our room was very large, but somewhat run-down looking with a linoleum floor. The room is what we would call an English basement, so the windows looked out at the feet of the passersby. Not bad, but again gave the room a bit of a dark appearance. We did appreciate that it was a very clean room and a comfortable, large bed. And, as I said, the room was large, holding a sofa and chair, the bed and nightstands, and some other furniture. I would recommend this B & B, but spend a bit more and get the upstairs rooms. Other guests were raving about their rooms and we felt ours was disappointing. We liked the free use of the internet, which was is a little sitting area right ourside of our room. The location is in a very quiet area, a bit of a walk to the highly touristed areas, but very close to the vaparetto stop. We would happily stay here again if we were able to get an upstairs room.

“Great boutique hotel in convenient location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 July 2010

This hotel was charming, clean, comfortable, great location, excellent service and good value. The breakfast was very nice and complete and the proprietors couldn't be nicer and were extremely helpful with places to have dinner nearby. I feel very comfortable recommending this hotel to others.

“If you are staying in Venice, this is the place.”

I have worked in the travel industry for 30 years and I could not fault this place. Everything you would find in a bedroom in a luxury hotel is in the rooms of the Ca' San Giorgio.
Camilla and Silvia are fabulous hosts and Anna is the best receptionist I have ever encountered. Even the cleaning lady is friendly!
The perfect place to stay in Venice.
My one tip would be a tip i gleaned from another tripadvisor patron, Vicky from Glasgow, and that is to treat yourself, if you can, to a water taxi back to the airport and leave the city in style. It can be booked at the reception and is well worth the €100.
Final comment. Absolutely enchanting.
