We spent a romantic week-end of 2 nights short in the wonderful B&B Fujiyama. What can we say? GREAT, for everything: our hosts, Carlo and Wenyu, were so kind and helpful; the room (Shanghai) was spacious and well furnished; breakfast very tasteful, free Wifi was working very well. The whole B&B looks very cosy and makes you feel comfortable like at home. The location of the B&B in the Dorsoduro area can't be better. We strongly recommend the B&B Fujiyama. Don't miss it! As a photographer, I have travelled extensively over the years and I have stayed in a quite a variety of different places. Every once and a while I am graced with accommodation that is exceptional - The FUJIYAMA Bed & Breakfast is one of them! Neatly hidden away from the hoards of tourists, but still only a 7 minute walk to all the attractions - This place is simply fantastic. Where do I start? Immaculate, stylish and extremely comfortable rooms, great beds!!, great location - and extremely hospitable and genuine service from Carlo and Wenyu - who run this gem! - I loved the well made fresh long macchiatos with fresh warm croissants and pane-style Italian bread and spreads in the mornings - and these guys are really helpful with insider tips on where to go and what to see - What's more - they are caring about their guests - and make a point of making you feel at home. I was travelling with two others and all of us agreed that in the three weeks and 6 countries we had visited - FUJIYAMA - was by far the best place we had stayed at. They provide a 6 star experience for a 2 star price. If you want a quite or romantic place that oozes charm, cleanliness, friendliness, genuine hospitality and affordability - then this must be your choice of accommodation. A straightforward booking direct with Carlo, who was waiting for us when we arrived from Santa Lucia stazione, (a 30 minute walk with 6/7 bridges on any of the most direct routes). Our room (Shanghai) was on the second floor overlooking the rear terrace and tea garden. It was attractively furnished and comfortable, with a big bed and plenty of wardrobe space, (note the wardrobe is too short for long dresses though).
The Dorsoduro location is fine for reaching most parts of Venice in a reasonable time, with plenty of places to eat and drink nearby while being away from the crazy mayhem of the prime tourist trails in areas such as San Marco.
Breakfast was a mix of lovely fresh rolls and pastries simple but very nicely done. The range of teas on offer was exceptional, (it is also a tearoom after all), and much appreciated by myself as I am a green / exotic tea fan.
Only one slight negative in that there was some intrusive noise from the drainage in the ensuite next to our bed, nothing too loud just a little disconcerting as we thought there might be a leak somewhere!
We appreciated both Carlo's and Wenyu's hospitality and help during our stay. A charming & unusual option in a city that can be a challenge to even seasoned travellers when trying to find good accommodation!

Lovely location, cute ambience and the best host one can ever look for. We spent 4 nights and fell in love with the place and the host. So warm, lovengly and warm host . . . Must spend time in the lovely tea garden and explore huge treasure of different teas they serve . .fujiyama thanx so much for making our stay so memorable. It cannot be any other pace in venice for us in future. . . .
