We visited Mid-June, 2011

This is a hidden gem! Our host were very pleasant and accommodating. The room is exactly as shown on the website. Very comfortable and immaculate. There was a safe, TV, air conditioning and refrigerator in our room! YES!!!!


The breakfasts were delightful. There was juice, coffee, tea, bottled water, cereals, cheeses, meats, jams and delicious croissants & rolls.
We were pleasantly surprised by the location... few minutes far from San Mark's Square and 2 minutes walking from water bus stop and not bridges to cross with luggage!

Our room faced an interior canal. We appreciated the location of our room...no noise, but delighted to awaken to a Gondolier's serenade (at a reasonable hour).

There is not a lift to accommodate luggage.

Eleonora was enthusiastic to share his knowledge and provided insights to additional sites off the beaten paths and a very, very good restaurant with reasonable prices.


I hope to return to Venice and stay there again.

We stayed at the B&B Al Teatro for 5 nights in August .


It is in a fantastic position a couple minutes walk from the vaporetto stop ( Giglio) and from St Marks Square.


Our room was large, bright and exceptionally clean. The bathroom was also a decent size with all mod cons. The room was decorated beautifully had three windows overlooking the canals.


The owners were very friendly and had useful tips on where to go, what to see, where to eat and, most importantly, how not to get ripped off!
We liked the fact that although a B&B, we could come and go as we pleased and had our own keys to the B&B as well as our room so we didn't have to worry about coming back late at night.


I can highly recomend staying here - the rates are very reasonable for such a large room in the heart of Venice.

We stayed in AL TEATRO Bed and Breakfast for two nights in September. No detail was overlooked - room was spacious and modern with a flat panel TV (multiple english channels), double bed, desk, and full built in wadrobe. The room was the best we had our entire two week trip. Eleonora was a wonderful hostess. The location is spectacular - 1 min away from the water bus stop and 5 minutes from San Marco's Square, but on a very quiet street. We loved our stay here - and would recommend it to anyone that is planning a trip to Venice. It is FABULOUS!!!

Al Teatro was a delightful experience. Eleonora was helpful and gracious host Who welcomed us warmly into her home. Our room was beautiful, spacious and spotlessly clean, with a nice view that looked out onto a quiet canal. I also can't praise the ensuite bathroom enough. It had a lovely, large glass-enclosed shower that was big enough that you didn't have to worry about bumping your body parts. (If anyone has to ask, you've never had to squeeze yourself into a "typical" Italian shower!). Every morning we have had all the information that we nedded about Venice , suggestions about museum, restaurants, islands, gondola ride provided by Eleonora.
Al Teatro is located minutes by foot from Piazza San Marco, but is quiet nonetheless. We will definitely stay at Al Teatro should we visit Venice in the future, and highly recommend it to anyone who wants romance and quality at a reasonable price.
