We took the Ca' Rubino apartment for four people, essentially 2 rooms. It is a renovated apartment with one master bedroom with Air conditioning, TV, dresser with drawers & closets. There is also a living room/dining room/kitchen/ sofa bed room, this "common room" has an Air conditioning (not as good as the one in the bedroom), pull out sofa bed, stove/oven, microwave, refrigerator and cabinets. this is good if you want to cook food or buy drinks and keep them in the fridge.
The apartment is located in the alleys of Venice, and is a couple minuets walk from the Ponte Guglie which is a main street with shops and a ferry station in Canneregio. It is very close to the Ghetto.
We had reserved the apartment through a website with a credit card at a certain price. When we spoke to the women she:
1) would not accept credit cards and
2) switched the price on us (jacking it up by about Euros 150) but we were smart and brought a copy of the confirmation from the website, we ended up paying the original amount by money transfer.
Overall it was a nice apartment and conveniently located plus it is in a very quiet "residential" area. If you care about a fridge and or kitchen facilities than its better to stay at a hotel.
This accommodation for 4 is good for either a couple with 2 or less kids or a couple and 2 friends or family .
