We just returned from a four night stay at Ca’ Amadi and found it absolutely delightful! This is our sixth trip to Venice and I think we have finally found a home away from home that we will return to again and again.
Having stayed in rental apartments, four star hotels, and budget-minded, but nice, establishments in Venice, we came across Ca’ Amadi in a random Trip Advisor search, and boy, am I glad we did! As others have stated, it is perfectly situated just a short walk from the Rialto Bridge, a central location to all the sights in Venice, and was very easy to find, even at night as the way was well lit (hint to first time Venice visitors, look up on the corners of the buildings for street names or signs).
The guest house itself is a Venetian treasure; from the very Venetian dual chandeliered reception salon to the Venetian themed rooms with modern bathrooms, Ca’ Amadi is everything you imagine a room in Venice would be, but the real treasure is the staff. We were greeted by Sonia upon our arrival who was lovely and very helpful, recommending restaurants and things to do off the beaten path as we had been to Venice so many times and had already seen the usual sights. Valentina was equally as lovely and helpful, offering her own suggestions as well as answering any questions we had. She really has done wonders with the place, it was immaculately kept, and breakfast was a welcome surprise: Excellent coffee, a selection of fruit, yogurt, granola, cereal, slices of cheese, ham, salami, breakfast breads, and scrambled eggs upon request! Something for everyone.
We had one of the double standard courtyard rooms (106) and while not the largest room there, it was plenty for the two of us and it was very comfortable and quiet.
Ca’ Amadi is a little gem tucked into a quiet courtyard in the middle of the bustling city and we can’t wait to return. A big thank you to Valentina, and Sonia, and the rest of the Ca’ Amadi staff for making our visit so pleasant!
