We wanted a clean, nice, reasonably priced location near the train station and Scrovegni Chapel in Padua, and the Al Cason worked out very well. About an eight minute walk west of the station (also the tram stop to head downtown) and about 12 minutes from the chapel, it was very handy. Both walks are flat. Like many train stations, the immediate area outside appeared iffy at night, but not a problem near the hotel. We were there the last week of September, and the nights were balmy for al fresco dinners on the piazzas downtown. Quick cab ride back to the hotel.
The hotel itself was modern and very clean, quiet, with a very good breakfast buffet, and a pleasant, helpful staff. It is on a busy, commercial street, but we were not bothered by noise. We never even heard trains going by from the station only a couple hundred meters away.
