our room, no 75 had an overpowering smell of chemicals when we arrived. we were here for a week and by the end of it we realised what the smell probably was, our bathroom had very bad damp patches suddenly appear, can only presume they had been painted over prior to our arrival... the hosts of the hotel were rarely seen and made no attempt to make us feel welcome. several evenings we wanted a cup of tea from the VERY SMALL bar/lounge and noone was there to serve us. There was no tv lounge as stated in the Inghams brochure. There was a very limited evening meal choice. Room no 71 has a mezzanine so 3 people can sleep upstairs, the steps leading up to the bedroom were not fixed securely, dangerous to small children. Its only saving grace was it is in a good location and had good views. We would have had a real problem if the snow hadnt of come, trying to find something to do without having to spend a lot of money.
