As I had to pass a job interview in Trento I stayed there for 1 night. The room was clean and with all the comforts. Internet was free...good stuff. Maybe there was too smoke polluted air from the balcony of my room as it was just over the main hotel entrance.

I stayed at Hotel Vela because I could not find a hotel in town close to the conference. The value was better than any I have ever had The room was spacious, clean, bright and attractive. There was a TV that had a large screen. The window opened into a balcony and I could look up into the mountains. The breakfast was early enough for me to get the bus into town. They gave me two bus tickets so that my trip would be easy. And....the best feature, other than the friendliness of the people was that they had a laptop that one could use in the privacy of one's room. It was truly a bargain.

After a long drive from Munich, we decided to stop in Trento for the night and didn't know where to stay. The toll operator suggested the Vela and we were very pleasantly surprised. This family owned business gave us a reduced rate, accomodated us for our extra person(3 total) and made us feel very much a guest. They have an excellant restaurant with reasonable prices, as well as safe underground parking at no extra charge. Parking is always a bonus when visiting Europe. The room was clean, well kept, with good water and shower and comfortable beds. It was the perfect ending to a beautiful drive down from the Brenner pass. I would recommend this property to ANYONE that doesn't insist on a Hilton or Best Western. Our stay in Bern at a Best Western was more than double the price and not near the value. Stay here, this family will make it worth your money!
