My wife & I were well looked after when we stayed here for 12 nights on half board basis. Good location slightly raised above town gives great views. Downside is short uphill walk (500m) from town to get there.

Family run by Sud-Tiroler & English born wife. German, Italian and English freely spoken-maybe others too. Excellent bedroom, plenty space in ours. No a/c but no searing heat as in other parts of Italy-pleasant 22C-32C during day.

Breakfast buffet with excellent choices. Evening meal with ample buffet antipasto with all other courses served to table. Tables can be close if hotel busy, but all part of holiday experience.

Lovely terrace for outside drinks/sitting in evening and once-weekly dinner to a theme (Italian & Tyrolean while we were there) with live music. Inside, tastefully furnished lounge/sitting area with bar, beautiful wood.

Inside swimming pool -towels, changing facilities-leading out to small garden with furniture and also up to functional roof sunbathing terrace with loungers.

Owner Kurt in particular was very attentive-couldn't do enough for us & the other guests. Nice touches to help the wallet-help yourself to an apple from the lobby basket and half-price drinks from bar if consuming in bedroom.

Access (short uphill) from hotel to Tappeiner Weg with lovely level walk above town & then down to centre.
