Stayed there again for the week-end of the half marathon. Can only repeat previous praise, only this time the food was even better (new executive chef, apperently). Also, absolutely stunning weather this time, so we were able to use the pool, already in late April!

We had a nice room with a fairly large balcony - but not all rooms have a balcony. However, I have now stayed here in four different rooms and all had a spectacular view, including the ones not overlooking the valley.

Had a wonderful three days at this amazing hotel. Location and decoration (some very pretty antique furniture, paintings - particularly a nice set on the seven deadly sins - and objects) alone are worth the trip. The view beats almost everything - I attach a picture of the garden, taken from our room (No 9, I think it was). Behind the garden and across the valley are the snow covered peaks of the alps. Food in the beautiful, ship-shaped dining room also good, the half-board menu has a daily choice of meat, fish and vegetarian (although the vegi dish once had bacon in it!). Since downtown Merano is not exactly buzzing at night we were happy to spend our evenings at the cozy bar sampling some nice local schnaps.

We had an absolutely beautiful room with panoramic view of the breathtaking valley.......from the bath.

Great service, super food (I really like good food) and a great wine list made it a fabulous stay.

We stayed 1st week of September, we had the pool to ourselves most of the time, 90' heat and the stunning scenery made it a perfect stopover.

Loved it, wouldn't recommend more than 3-4 days at a time
