When you choose a one star hotel, you don't expect much, so we were very surprised with the quality of service, cleanliness and value of this hotel.

The location is in the Navigli area and a 5-10 minute walk will put you amongst the cafes and bars which line the canal. There is a Metro stop around 5 minutes away but we chose to walk to the Duomo (approximately 30 mins) and its surrounding areas.

The rooms are fine (we had a double) but be aware that there is no fan in the room and with the windows open you do hear the rumble of trams and cars passing directly outside, though this mainly occurs early in the morning.

Breakfast was included and was okay. Again for the money we paid, I wouldn't have expected much but there were various croissants, bread rolls, cereal, crackers, teas and fresh coffee which you ordered.

Our stay in this hotel was good. We arrived around 10am and were able to check-in straight away. The staff were friendly, there is free Wi-Fi (the codes are on the desk and change daily) and cable TV.

I would certainly recommend this hotel.

I stayed here for two nights before flying to Rome and wasn't left with a strong impression of the place. I had a large room, meant for 3, which was a bonus! Disappointed with breakfast even though I knew it was continental. Other hotels seem to have more variety in their versions of a continental breakfast. Staff were polite but not as friendly as some of other places I stayed at in the same trip (am travelling around the world at the moment). Clean room, spacious bathroom, comfortable bed, quiet, TV by the bed. No information pack in rooms.

The main reason of my choice was the bargain price (70 Euros/night for two people with breakfast and free Internet) and the location near the Navigli, where it's full of night life in summer). I was a bit worried because it's only one star, but actually the hotel worths much more! Very clean room, with safety box inside. Bathroom equipped with hair dryer. Nothing special for breakfast, but better than in other more expensive hotels I'd tried before in Milan. Owner and waiters very nice.
Quiet street, but very close to the navigli, which are plenty of restaurants. Several tramway lines in front of the hotel, Metro less than 1 Km far, a famous photo gallery (FORMA) open till 11 p.m. and churches (St. Eustorgio and others), shops and the open air market in the nearby.

I've stayed in many hotels in Italy and this is one of the best for its price. For 3 people we paid 80 euros a night and the rooms were perfectly clean. The location is perfect as it is near many important spots in Milan. The staff were polite and helpful. I didnt have a chance to try the breakfast but there is a famous breakfast place down the street called California Bakery with American breakfasts such as pancakes, and Sunday Brunch.
