Hotel's location is great, just 2 minutes walk to Porta genova station, hotel is very cheap, breakfast was better than i expected but bathroom was a bit small, also the towels are not like towels we r used to.

The room was very basic, however comfortable. The sheets were changed daily as well as the towels. There was a funky odour coming from the bathroom, it could have done with a make over and a good clean. Lovely court yard view, but be prepaired for a 4am wake up as bin men came at this time on a Wednesday! Apart from that, we had a good night sleep. Receptionists were very friendly and helpful. There wasnt much variety when it came to the breakfast, however we did enjoy it and it kept us going for the day. We would happily stay here again as it was in a GREAT location and perfect for what we were intending to to. We were within a 2 min walk from the underground, tram stops and bus stops, taking you to varoius places. Wouldnt recomend for people who wish to stay in the room for long, however if like us you are up and out doing things then this is the place for you!!

The Minerva hotel is in a great location in the Navigli district of Milan, countless bars & restaurants line the canals. We were looking for a cheap place to stay in Milan and this was one of the cheapest we could find in this district. It was clean and the reception staff were friendly and helpful....however.... the room was tiny, as was the bathroom and could seriously do with redecorating as it looked more like a hostel room, but our bed clothes were changed daily and we got fresh towels each morning, as i said i cant complain but i would probably look for somewhere a bit nicer if i was to return. That said, if your just looking for somewhere to sleep thats cheap and central then the Minerva might just be the hotel for you.

Finally, a desk clerk ( day shift anyway ) at a Milan hotel who was helpful / friendly !! And very good English as well.
Compared to the Cristallo Hotel in Milan where the desk clerk just threw us a restaurant business card to a facility which was closed at time of visit, the Minerva was a delight.
The room was adequate: comfy bed, huge bathroom ( and bidet !! ) pleasant courtyard view.... but no CNN !!! ( buffet breakfast was kinda lame as well ) oh well, can't have everything.
Location is around the corner from Porto Genova subway line and 20 minute walk down the street to the Duomo
Overall, more than satisfied with our stay ( for a 3 star hotel )
