I could actually recommend this hotel if you require nothing more than a clean, safe place to sleep.
I choose this place because of its proximity to the Central Station. The reception desk told me they had no "single" accomodations available, but could give me a discount on a double ($40 Euros for one night's stay). I was too tired of lugging my heavy backpack any further to seek a better deal.
The room was spacious and tidy; the bedsheets and two little hand towels by the wash sink were clean and pressed. However, you could write your name in the dust layered underneath the bed and hanging from the cobwebs in every ceiling corner. The communal toilet and shower were across the hallway. That room was also clean, but the shower seemed to be in precarious shape and, combined with the lack of towels, I choose not to use it.
There are 2 locked doors between the street and reception desk (no keys--you are "buzzed" in), but my room key did not fit the lock and I slept with a chair propped under the door handle. The television didn't work, but there was good overhead and reading light.
All-in-all, convenient, clean and quiet, but althogther dreary; there is an abundance of inexpensive hotels near the Central and better, more comfortable deals.
