“As ecpected”

Aurelia is a very small Hotel. There is only one floor for rooms and no elevator. Aurelia staff was very friendly. Breakfast was rather typically "continental" and enough to stay alive for several hours. Of course, if used to scandinavian type of breakfasts, this isn´t nearly anything. Room was a little bit tiny, bathroom was Ok. Bed wasn´t queen size, rather a doll size but... Internet connection was good in rooms, although it´s ten euros per day. But if you think that hotels in Milano aren´t as cheap as for example in Rome (maybe 10% more) the total cost in Aurelia 82 € including breakfast and internet and very good location (practically in the city center) wasn´t so much.

“Simply don't think its a good option”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 September 2011

The hotel is located close to a metro station and within walkable distance (less than 15 minutes) from the main train station but the area is not exactly nice at night - although it does not look very dangerous I won't recommend for girls/women travelling alone. The staff was ok although we were refused to have breakfast just for arriving 5 minutes after 9.30... Obviously you can say it was fair but was also not a big loss, as we had breakfast the following day and its really well bellow minimum acceptable standards.
The rooms were not terrible, but not good either: bathroom very small and not very easy to use. I think that if you look for hotel quality you'll need to look elsewhere...

“Hope you're lucky and you don't get the afternoon receptionist”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 September 2011

This two star hotel is in a conenient location near loreto metro station. However when we arrived at 6pm, the receptionist on duty was a grumpy man who barely spoke English, and was unhelpful and rude. He didn't give us any information, no maps, no info on breakfast and when we asked if he had any suggestions before we ventured out, he gave us an incoherent mumble. However the night shift receptionist, margie, is a gem- she was friendly, smiled and helped us with our wifi connection (which is an additional 10€ a day) problems.

Overall, convenient and value for money, but I hope you don't get the old fart we got.

“Great location and friendly staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 June 2011

I stayed at the Hotel Aurelia last weekend for a girls trip. I found the small hotel in a very convenient and quiet location for shops, restaurants and proximity to the Metro station. There is also a bus directly outside the hotel.

On arrival I found the staff very friendly and they agreed to check us into one of the rooms early so we could freshen up. The receptionist gave us maps and info on travelling into Milan and surrounding areas.

Overall I enjoyed the stay at this hotel.

Thank you for your hospitality hotel Aurelia!

“It's pefect for party students but terrible if your planning to sleep”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2010

The hotel is clean. Its quiet a walk from the subway and outside the center, The staff were kind and polite and the rate was cheap. But it was always loud. Teenagers were roaming the halls and yelling, shouting and screaming. The Staff said that they were guests and do as they please. The rooms were clean but I could hear the nex troom guest snoring and everything he did. And i mean everything.
Overall if I was planning to party I would stay there other wise no.
