Bergamo is a cute old city, typically medieval with 10 foot wide streets, and this B&B could not be better situated in the old, upper city. Parking is a bit of a problem, but we found a spot only a hundred meters away. It is located a half block off the main " street". The proprietor is both helpful and friendly. Our room was immense - kitchen, dining room, bedroom/den and loft. My son and I had room to rattle around. It was our first night in Italy and a terrific start to the trip. Excellent place to stay. One note - the morning bells are a tad loud, but I enjoyed then.

Casa Mario Lupo is a beautiful house set amid Bergamo's beautiful piazzas and buildings. Our room was spacious (a duplex!) with a large, renovated bathroom. The hot tub-like bathtub was a nice touch. Gianmauro was an excellent host and was very kind. Sadly, it was rainy so we couldn't have breakfast in the garden - but it did look lovely the day we had to check out (when the sun came back).

Prior reviews mentioned loud church bells. They were loud but they didn't wake us up :)

We really enjoyed Casa Mario Lupo. The place is very clean and so beautiful it was very hard to leave. Gianmauro, the owner is very polite and he really cares about his clients. The breakfast was wonderful and we felt in love with the city as well as Casa Mario Lupo. We would definitely recommend Casa Mario Lupo to all our friends and family. I hope we could back soon!

A wonderful apartment in the heart of the old city less than two minutes walk from the main Piazza Vecchia. The proprietor, Gianmauro, was very welcoming and helpful. The apartment itself was quirky and atmospheric and our two young girls loved their upstairs space which gave them a feeling of independence while still feeling secure. This is a real gem with a taste of the real Italy.
