Visited lovely and picturesque Bergamo for a few days combining business with a bit of pleasure, since I also have close friends living there.
I picked Da Bice B&B because I was travelling solo and looked for something simple and close to my friends house.
The place exceeded my expectations! It was a quite large apartment of sparkling cleanliness wich gave out the aura of home! Personal items decorating the walls, childrens' books in the shelves of the wooden bookcase, it is all -I'm sure- part of Bice's pesonal household once and you cannot imagine how much this thought adds to the general welcoming feeling! There's absolutely nothing sterile about this B&B.
I was travelling solo and I've had the big "open plan" apartment to myself! In the first morning there was a knock on the middle door (which had been locked) indicating that breakfast was ready and served in the other room, at the exact time agreed the previous night with Bice! Breakfast was so full that I just had to tell her to prepare less for the rest of my stay as I hate to leave food! The interesting thing is that in that other "breakfast room" (kept closed to me at all other times) there was a large red couch wich seemed to be able to open to a comfortable bed and a round table. It seemed to me that this room is provided to families or at any time more people need to be accomodated in the B&B. The ground floor apartment, is situated at an inner courtyard/garage, not very charming itself, no view, don't expect a garden or anything, but Bice has placed quite a few plants so it's all fine!

Bice herself is a very polite, sweet, smily person who -despite her almost absolute lack of english!- is very willing to help and provide! She picked me up (together with her daughter) with her private car from the train station when I arrived (however I cannot be sure about this service being always applicable) and she even provided me with a phone when I wanted to receive only (that is what i told her, of course it was true and she absolutely trusted me!) phonecalls from home.

All in all this is a highly recommended place, if you're looking for a personal accomodation experience, simple, clean, friendly, quiet and at a reasonable price too! More that one would expect out of a B&B!

Superb service is provided by lovely lady Bice. The cosy and pleasant apartment is very clean. Positioned in a very nice and safe area and in walking distance from the new and the famous old town. We will be back!

Every start of January - it`s shopping time! so I went to Milano through Bergamo airport, late arrival. So, decided to stay overnight in Bergamo.

I aranged room for one night and shuttle service from airport. Lady Bice was very nice and helpful, in 5 min. we where at guesthouse. Locked yard and separate entrance into
guestroom. Very cosy studio apartment(also kitchen inside) with bathroom. Clean, charming and fantastic service. Excellent italian breakfest in the dining room - I have to say - aristocratic!

The lovely lady of the house "Bice". is the perfect hostess. Nothing is to much trouble for this lady. Always smiling always available to help.
The room or should I say apartment, is self contained and includes: Toilet, shower, Dining table, Kitchen (with utensils), Double bed, atm chair, etc, etc. The bed was very comfortable and the linen fresh on as we arrived.
The breakfast is absolutely the best, you will never finish it !! Meats, Cheeses, Fruit, Breads, AND MUCH MORE
Bice offered to collect us from Bergamo airport on arrival and transport us back, but we hired a car, which we could park at the B&B behind remote controlled gates.
