We stayed one night while on our 25th wedding anniversary trip to Cote d'Azur. We decided to take a one day trip for a good plate of pasta from Nice to Ventimiglia by train. The ride is so smooth and the train station is walkable to the beach and restaurants. Ventimiglia is a small old Italian village with friendly and lively people. We enjoyed our pasta at a beachside restaurant then were headed back to the train station where everyone was waiting outside with their luggage. All the trains were cancelled for the night-soppresso, soppresso. So we headed back to the beach area after trying for an hour to get a bus or a taxi back to Nice to no avail. We came upon this hotel which looked cute with their cacti landscape and large patio area in front. We luckily were able to get a room for 130 euros. Although not large, the room was cool with a very nice clean bathroom and a little balcony. The room was well soundproofed when the doors were closed with the dual pane windows. The bed was comfortable and a beautiful breakfast was served on the terrace with the lovely seaview of calm waters. An enjoyable stay!
