“Great stay!!!”

Had a great stay in a Blue room with balcony. Rooms is very clean, bathrooms cleans, and location is good. The big plus is there is coffee machine in a room, plus breakfast ( rolls, juice, yogurts are stocked every day.) it's a little tough get to because it's up the hill but oh well, for price it is worth it. The owner is a really nice lady.

“Beautiful room in a beautiful town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 November 2011

We stayed in the blue room for two nights and found it bright, airy and cheerful. Heater worked well when switched on and the water had good pressure. Only slight downside was having to carry suitcases upstairs to get to the rooms as there are no lifts. Riomaggiore is a pretty little town but not many things were open when we were there as the negative publicity around the floods in two of the cinque terre towns was affecting this one, although in reality it's completely fine from riomaggiore to corniglia. We managed to walk via del amore the day luckily as they closed all trails the next day. Trains running between the cities and la spezia is erratic because of flooding in genoa and we were stranded in corniglia for 6 hours. Maddy was kind enough to try to look up contac numbers of the train company and places to stay there if we had to spend the night.

“Our family had a wonderful stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 November 2011

We stayed with Maddie at Il Boma during the summer this year. We were lucky enough to be there suing the San Giovanni festival and watched the lovely candlelight parade through the street from our balcony. We stayed in the Blue Room and the Yellow Room. Both were very comfortable, no frills, but an excellent price for the area. I would definitely stay in Riomaggiore over the other towns in the 5Terre. Every morning we had espresso in our room and then walked to Manarola to have the best chocolate croissants at the cafe just on the other side of the Via DellAmour. The vineyard walk through Manarola is a must-do. We would definitely stay there again.

“Great value”

Great start to our holiday with 3 nights in the Wisteria room. It's fresh and clean and bigger than a few others we stayed in - recently renovated as well. The hostess is friendly and very helpful with plenty of advice on getting there and enjoying your stay. Sure there are stairs but you probably shouldn't visit Riomaggiore if you are averse to a bit of climbing. Great accomodation, we couldn't fault it.

Room Tip: the blue room has a balcony looking onto the street

“"A true Italian experience"”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 October 2011

We stayed 3 nights in the Blue Room at Il Boma. The room was comfortable with all the facilities and the renovated bathroom was great. We loved sitting out on the balcony and watching the life in Riomaggorie go by, a true Italian experience. The stairs are quite steep and the room is up on the 3rd floor (no lifts). The breakfast was left in the room with plenty of snacks to last thru the day as well as a coffee machine and a fridge which was great.
Thanks Maddie for a great stay in your town.
