“Our special place in Monterosso”

We stayed at Giardino Incantato for 5 nights near the end of our 3 month European Tour. It is such a special place, The B&B is located in a narrow alley off the main street in the heart of Monterosso's old town - a perfect spot. The accomodation is of the highest possible standard-the rooms are beautifully appointed and extremely comfortable. There were so many little extras that made our stay an unforgettable experience.

The garden is a wonderful place to enjoy breakfast and relax in general. The level of service we received was exceptional. there wasn't a single thing we could fault.

We also recommend the Ristarante Al Caugio (also in the old town) - it has a lovely atmosphere and great food.

If you are planning to go to Cinque Terre and want to enjoy the best possible accomodation book Giardino Incantato (it would be advisable to book early).

“Perfect B&B in Monterosso al Mare”

This was our first trip to Italy; we visited Florence, Cinque Terre, and Venice with my sister and brother-in-law. Although we found everywhere we visited to be all we expected, Il Giardino Incantato exceeded our expectations. What a wonderful place! I have little to add to all of the glowing reviews, but I can attest to the fact that none are exaggerations. The hosts and staff are exceptionally kind and helpful. The garden is amazing; small but exquisite. Not only did was there complimentary breakfast (delicious!) and mini bar; when Fausto discovered that we loved Italian red wine, he gave each couple a bottle (which we happily drank in the garden). Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer. Grazie mille, Fausto and Mariapia!

“Enchanted Garden”

We stayed 5 nights at Il Giardino in Monterosso. Upon arrival, we were greeted by our friendly hosts, Fausto and Mariapia into their beautifully restored B&B, which is tucked up a little side street away from the crowds. We were shown to our beautiful "golden suite" which was very spacious and extremely inviting after a long train ride. We had fresh fruit and a complimentary mini bar, along with a CD player and a selection of CD's to listen to; the beautiful Italian music being our favorite choice. Each morning we began our day with a delicious breakfast in their walled enchanting garden and every evening the garden was lit with candles which was beautiful and relaxing. Not only were the accommodations perfect, but their staff provided excellent service. The staff who served us breakfast was always prompt and very friendly and our room was always spotless upon our return at the end of the day. This was our first trip to Cinque Terre and everything about our stay at Il Giardino was above and beyond what our expectations were.

“Only regret we did not stay longer”

My husband and I had our first trip to Italy to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary in late September. The Cinque Terre was our first stop during our 3 week trip and based on tripadvisor reviews we booked in nearly one year prior at Il Giardino Incantato. We arrived after a long flight from Seattle to Rome then a 5+ hour train ride to find our wonderful accomodations and a smiling Fausto to greet us. Dead tired we headed out to dinner and returned to our delight to find the beautiful enchanted garden lit with candles where we enjoyed a nice glass of Tuscan wine before heading off to a very wonderful nights sleep. We stayed 4 nights and wished we had stayed a week or longer. Breakfasts at Il Giardino are absolutely superb, served in the beautiful garden and giving you the boost you need for a long day of hiking the trails of the Cinque Terre. Returning home in the evening, Il Giardino Incantato is the perfect spot to relax and feel apart of the village life in this small community. One evening we sat in the garden and enjoyed the choir in the nearby church singing - it is truly magical. Fausto and Mariapia are wonderful hosts, they respect your privacy while at the same time remain very much available to make dinner reservations or assist with recommendations on activities. The rooms are kept spotless and the service by their staff at breakfast is comparable to the best hotels in the world.

Room Tip: Book early they fill up long in advance. All 4 rooms appeared equally as nice.

“Luxury B & B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 October 2011

If cost is not a consideration, you won't find a better place to stay in Monterosso.
Attentive owners and staff providing for your every need.
Wonderful breakfast in the beautiful tranquil garden and courtesy mini-bar as well as constant supply of fresh fruit.
Very close to restaurants and beach but remarkably quiet and peaceful.
Pamper yourself for about 165€ a night
