Clean and spacious room and bathroom, free wi-fi in room. Good mattress, although next to street no noise at all. Less enthusiastic about the shower curtain as not so hygienic. Reasonable frigobar prices. Breakfast was nice and fresh, friendly staff both at reception (personal approach and helpful) and breakfast (authentic smiles).
Apparently a garage is available within the hotel for 14 euros a night. I didn't know this and spent a long time looking for a far away parking place.
Apart from the parking a good place to stay. Walking distance to centre. Improvement tip: quality of bath accessories (not a very fresh fragrance).

We enjoyed our stay at the Ambassador Palace. The staff was very helpful, and the rooms were large and modern. We arrived tired and cross because we had been lost for over an hour. The kind staff immediately offered us two free drinks which quickly restored our good humor. Breakfast was included and was generous.

The hotel is located between the train station and the center of town. You can walk from the train station if you do not have a lot of luggage. The hotel is located about 45 minutes from Trieste and 1 hour 30 minutes from Venice. Slovenia is about 1 hour and 45 minutes - a must go if your drive.

If you arrive by car, the hotel offers garage parking but space is limited and you will need to advise them in advance. You can park on the street for 0.60 Euro per hour but be prepared to feed the meter. There is lots of parking in the blue spaces on the street and around the square located across from the hotel. Do not park in the yellow spaces as these are reserved for the finance ministry located close to the hotel.

The rooms are well appointed. They are clean and comfortable. Not all rooms have a bath tub, so if you are a shower person, you need to make the reservation staff aware of your preference. The sheets and towels are changed every day.

The staff is friendly and helpful. However, sometimes you need to make yourself understood. A little Italian would help.

The hotel restaurant is somewhat expensive but good. You can get more for your money eating outside at any of the local cafe's or restaurants. There are plenty to choose from located close to the hotel.

The hotel is pet friendly and provides free internet service.

When in Udine the Hotel Ambassador Palace is a place to stay.

Always stay in October at this hotel because the trade show in Pordenone, Italy. Hotels in Pordenone alwyas are full and I found this "Tesoro" (Treassure) close o the train station because I have conmute between Pordenone and Udine for 4 days... the breakfast is simple but nice, the rooms are very clean and traditional decoration with a good size room and bathroom... People in the Front desk are very professional... Always stay here and I'l be here in 2011 again...
