I like Clocchiatti because there is an excellent often home made breakfast buffet, and I really like the creative swimming pool and the garden. The only problem is the lack of a lift, if you get the discounted room at the top floor (2nd) you have to drag your luggage, but apart from this little thing it's a great place to stay, with its own parking space and it's really near the centre.

This was our 2nd stay at the Clocchiatti. It is perfection! The rooms are large, the location is wonderful (close walk to the old part of downtown), the decor is terrific, and the breakfast is delicious. We recommend this hotel very highly. Daniela and the rest of the staff are very friendly and helpful. The wineries in the area are a delight as well. Stay here!

We stayed at the hotel once only, but if we are ever to come back to Udine - will stay there again. (I sometimes think I will go there specially to stay at the hotel)
There are two parts of the hotel: original building and new build "extension".
The rooms in the original bit were on their list for the refurbishment, however, still nice and tidy, full of nice features. The new extension rooms are very chic and ultra-modern. VERY nice.
However, the best we enjoyed about the hotel is not just location (very close to the city centre), not just the rooms, but the hospitality of its owners! Felt very much at home. Would recommend to anyone.

I have stayed in this hotel several times. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and the staff is helpful. A good place to stay for visiting Udine, The Friuli proivence, or Venice. A short bus ride takes you to the station. A one hour train ride to Venice with return trains running every hour or so.
