This was our second stay at the Milton and it certainly lived up to our expectations.
The hotel is situated in a quiet area near the sea front and harbour so expect to pay somewhere around 20-25 euros for a taxi from the airport. As we arrived on an early morning flight, our room wasn't quite ready but within 25 minutes or so we were able to get access and freshen up.
As expected the room was spotlessly clean. We did not request a sea view, so couldn't see it, but all rooms in the hotel have a small balcony that catches the sun at some point during the day. Ours did so in late afternoon which was a nice way to relax after returning from a days sightseeing and before having your evening meal.
Breakfast was served from 7.30 to 10.30 daily and was a self service arrangement with coffee or hot water (for tea) being brought to your table. The selection was extensive and covered every taste including cereals, breads, pastries, cheeses, meats, fruit etc. A hot selection of eggs and ham were also available. If one could be critical of the breakfast, it would be of the sometimes watery orange juice but this is only a minor issue.
Though we did not eat our eveing meal in the hotel, the menu was varied and interesting. For a full meal in the restaurant expect to pay around 35 euros excluding drinks. Single courses were also available starting at around 15 euros.
Throughout our stay we enjoyed a very pleasant nights sleep with one exception. Apparently the extractor fans for the kitchen and dining room passed up the external wall near our room and while the kitchen works on a timer and had switched off, the dining room does not and we had to contact reception at 1am to ask if the fans could be turned off! It was done within seconds, so one could not fault the service.
All staff were very pleasant throughout our stay and I would not hesitate to recommend the Milton to anyone looking for a pleasant holiday in Rimini.
