Found this hotel quite by accident driving around Parma trying to get a feel for the city and it is well located facing the river in a section of town in which we felt very safe. Pulled into parking lot which consists of about 8 spaces in front of the hotel just to get directions, but the reception staff was so gracious, we decided to look at a room and ended up securing one for the night. Our criteria was only for safety and cleanliness and the hotel met these well. The hotel within walking distance (measured in five or so city blocks) of the places we wanted to see in the short time we had. Staff gave only geographic areas for dinner recommendations (we would have liked some specifics), but were quite friendly in doing so. Some "just so you knows": Internet is free, but limited in access and speed is quite slow and sometimes failed to connect with sites. Room was adequate in size, but beds firm (with clean crisp sheets) and pillows not feather soft. (Where do hotels get these??) Bathroom very clean and quite large considering shower size of about 26 x 28. Water pressure good and towels very nice. Did not eat there. Limited number of guests allowed us to park out front for free. Could not adjust the room temperature, but probably our ineptness and it was a bit hot for sleeping.
