We started our day in a camping by the Tyrrhenian Sea, with eyes sore of sleeplessness, because of a "surprise show" by a one man band last night. We had planned a long trip for the day and decided that we really deserved a decent sleep in a soft bed in quiet surroundings. So we booked the Ora hotel in Parma, our evening destination.

And that's also what we got: a quiet, tastefully decorated and well equipped room, and a full breakfast, just what a Northern European needs from time to time. :) And for a very reasonable price (something like 67 euros, booked via venere.com). The city of parma is further off, but can be well reached by car.

Although the hotel was a bit away from the center of Parma, and the roads are dark at night, as we had a rental car, it was perfect. Parking was for free and they had sufficient parking facility.

Staff speaks English, even at late hours as we checked in late. They are very friendly and helpful.

Room is good, stylish. Beds are very comfortable, except the remote light on the TV was rather bright and big. Showers are very good, with good water pressure!

There is no in-room coffee/ tea making possibility, however, you can ring the reception, and they are more than happy to help you.

Breakfast was simple, but good enough. Fresh coffee provided according to your preference.

Good price too!!! Will definitely go back there!!!

We stayed at Ora Hotel City Parma on our travel through Italy for one night. In our impression many people do so since there were a lot of people arrinving during late afternoon who all left the Hotel again the next day. Since the hotel is a bit outside of Parma, right next to the airport, it is not more than a transient hotel. BUT the hotel itself is well equipped, has great rooms with a nice bathroom, free WiFi and friendly staff. The breakfast room is not made for many people having breakfast at the same time so macke sure you come eraly to get a seat. The food was okay and the staff always tried hard to satifsy their guests needs asap.
All in all we did not expect to find such a hotel within this industrial working area - but somehow we liked it. If we are going back to Italy and have to have a bed for one night in the Parma area, we would choose Ora Hotels again.

We were first given a room which terribly smelled the cigarette even though it was a non smoking room. But we were changed immediately on our request. The rooms were functional and ok. The free wireless internet is quick.
The breakfast was alright but it's only until 10am. So even though there were still guests at the buffet or just arriving, they begun to remove the items at that time.
Location is a bit special. It's only some meters next to an airport, but you won't be annoyed by plane noise as there's only very little traffic. Other than that there's not much so you need definitely need a car.
