“Very good choice if you want to be close to St. Peter's”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 December 2011

Very good choice if you want to be close to St. Peter's and you are looking for a budget accomodation B&B style. From our window we could see the basilic.
Very nice, helpful and competend owners. Rooms a little bit noisy during the day when you are mostly not in the room, anyway. Closing the windows solves the problem. Very low traffic in the night so no problem with the noise.
Breakfast very basic, but a lot of various eating opportunities nearby.

“Cute, comfortable, friendly and generous. Great location too! Loved it!”

This cute B&Bis located 400m from the Vatican and very close to the bus stop. It is extremely convenient for people who like the B&B concept. The owners are friendly and hospitable. The room is Very well priced, clean and generous in terms of breakfast and beverages.

I live in Italy and have been to many B&Bs, I would definitely choose Domus Manlii if I'm ever in the Rome area again.

Comfortable, honest and cozy.

“Lovely little hotel, really friendly”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 June 2009

I really liked the Domus Manlii. It's a hotel in a flat in a residential location, there is a front gate before you get into the flats so good security. The 3 rooms in the hotel were very clean and modern, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom shiny and well-equipped. Breakfast was left in the kitchenette in the front hall which I really liked as we didn't have to get up early! There was a table in our room by the window where we could sit and eat. As much coffee and juice as we wanted, too!
The location was good, right near St Peter's Square (5 min walk). We got up early one day to beat the queues at St Peter's Basilica and the Vatican, which was well worth doing especially as we were so close. There is a tube station 10 minutes walk away, from which you can access the main train station Termini and other areas of Rome. There also seemed to be good bus links near the hotel, and the owner offered to book us a taxi to get to the station on our last day.
I would thoroughly recommend this friendly, small and well-situated hotel.

“Excellent value!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 April 2009

This was just what we required. Domus Manlii is an apartment with 3 or 4 bedrooms and a comunal hall with a bench & microwave where breakfast is left for guests. The room was a good size, the bathroom was great and the bed was really comfortable. It was cleaned every day while we were out and the owners Fabrizia and Max were really friendly and helpful. They do not speak much English but this wasn't a problem for us. It was in a lovely residential area so we felt like locals! The air was lovely and clean as we were up on the hill and there was little noise at night.
