“Truly my "Home" in Rome”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

Staying at the Home in Rome was easily the best possible decision for my family's vacation. The B&B was clean, comfortable, warm, and inviting. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, well presented, and well-taken care of. The complimentary breakfast was delicious, and there was a fridge in the lobby for guests to use (and for leftover breakfast to be stored for later). Additionally, there was free computer/internet access and free WiFi for guests to use, which was super convenient. The lobby also had travel guides / books available for use & borrowing. The best part, though, was the fact that the owners really, truly care about the guests. Avraham & Eva showed a genuine interest in our well-being and comfort, and helped us plan out our day-to-day activities. They gave us tips and tricks for finding the best gelato, coffee, tourist-sites, shopping, etc. They took us in (as their own), introduced us to their family, and even took us to their local Synagogue for an Italian Bar Mitzvah! There is absolutely zero doubt in my mind that when my family & I go back to Rome, we will be staying at this Bed & Breakfast ... the room, personnel, service, warmth, etc was absolutely top-notch, and I will *gladly* recommend it to everyone! Thank you!!

Room Tip: Choose the room with the private bathroom.

“A marvelous place to see Rome and do day trips in Italy”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

My wife and I spent 5 days at this bed and breakfast. The owner and staff member were extremely courteous and helpful and went far beyond the normal expectations. For example, they helped me plan a day trip to pompeii and gave me the times of the trains. They ordered food for us for the Sabbath and accompanied us to the synagogue on Saturday morning. There always was cake and hot water available which made for a perfect ending to a long day. For the kosher traveler these amenities cannot be over emphasized. I look forward to visiting Italy again and starting it through this bed and breakfast

Room Tip: I found the larger room more than adequate for all of our needs

“A wonderful hotel for everyone and particularly for kosher travelers”

My husband and I just spent five nights at this wonderful bed and breakfast. Staying here was a pleasure. We asked the hotel to send a cab to pick us up at the airport and when we got out the cab driver was waiting for us and took us straight there. Although we arrived at 10 pm the owner was there waiting for us and spent an hour making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed and were ready for our first day of touring the next morning.

The room we stayed in was very spacious and had a very large attached private bathroom. In addition, there was a living room / dining room available for the guests with tea, coffee, cold drinks and cake, available at all hours. There was also a large refrigerator and a computer with internet connection. We were really very comfortable and the name “Home in Rome” could not be more appropriate.

In addition to providing a wonderful service that is appealing for all travelers, this hotel is especially appropriate for kosher and Shabbat observant guests. Every morning a full kosher breakfast was waiting for us and through the hotel we ordered our meals for Shabbat. We went off for a full day of touring early Friday morning and came home to find our food waiting for us and a beautiful table set for our meal. The hotel owner even came by on Saturday morning to personally escort us to the nearby Synagogue.

In summary, I highly recommend this hotel for couples and for families. While this particular vacation was for just my husband and me, we definitely felt this was the type of place that we would love to come back to with our children and have a very enjoyable family vacation.

“The Best Hotel We've Ever Stayed At!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 January 2012

The Home In Rome Bed & Breakfast is the best hotel we have ever stayed at and it made Rome all the more special! The rooms are clean and beautiful (our room for 4 was spacious and lovely). It is a condominium that the owners turned into a hotel so there are 4 rooms and a light-filled dining area with coffee, cereal and home baked cake 24 hours per day, a computer, and refrigerator. The breakfast was incredible with pastries, toast, sweet rolls, fresh vegetables, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, juices, etc. We paid VERY reasonable rates per night for a room for 4 and breakfast was included. They also did our laundry for a tip to the maid of 10 euros. But more than anything is the welcome and continuing warmth of the owners. They are husband and wife and their mission is to make everyone feel comfortable in Rome. When we arrived, Avram (the owner), greeted us at the door, helped us get settled, gave us maps and directions, and gave us 4 bus tickets because it was Christmas and we couldn't buy bus tickets. He also told us where the kosher bakery/restaurant is 2 blocks away. They had Hanukah menorahs and candles ready for us, and were very disappointed that we couldn't join them for Shabbat because they serve Friday night dinner and Saturday lunch. We really did feel like we were at a home away from home and can't wait to stay there again.

“great B&B in Rome”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 January 2012

We spent 5 nights with 2 young children at this B&B.
Great location - peaceful and quiet at night (2 min. walking from the metro in Bologna station which brings you to the center of Rome in 10 min.).

Amazing and personal hospitality and welcoming by the owners, starting from the reservation, through great tips and info during your stay and until the end and good byes .

The room was spotless and very clean (and handeled 2 adults + 2 children very comfortably) + toilets and shower in the room.

Very family friendly, great breakfast (we asked for soy milk - and got it + soy cocoa for the children. every request was fully answered and more).

When returning to Rome (and we will) this is where we will stay.
