Well first off I would say that we had a devil of a time finding this place. Its actually part of an apartment building and therefore not very well signed. We managed to eventually find it, by checking the names on the apartment bell lists. We were amazed at the size of the place when we got there. As I said, its an apartment with approx 4 rooms. We were met by a lovely young lady called Illiaria and her friend Daniella. Illaria's english was very good however Daniella struggled but she was very very accommodating. The rooms were very bright and airy with very comfortable furniture. We had the Red Room which was right next to the kitchen area. Shower was fabulous and we had a view right over the balcony seating area which was lovely. We couldnt fault the rooms or the service presented by our hosts - Illaria even made us a cup of tea one night when we returned from our jaunts. For me, the only downside to staying at Strawberry House, was the breakfast. Their website featured pastries and fruit etc, when in fact what we were presented with was toast, french toast or cereal - without a bowl! I would suggest that they drop their prices a small amount to accommodate for this. Therefore we only had breakfast there one day out of the four. Strawberry House is just around the corner from the vatican museum in a very quiet area - appx half hour walk home at night from piazza navona with some of the most beautiful views of rome to keep you company, so therefore we would definitely recommend it to all our friends. If you want a nice comfortable and clean place to stay with very friendly hosts, then head for Strawberry House - we shall be staying with them again!
