“good location but food and service at breakfast disappointing”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

this hotel is very convenient for the main station and has a friendly welcoming atmosphere. we were surprised to be informed of a local tax of 3 euros each per night on arrival. breakfast was basic and service for tea and coffee with breakfast slow. room was spacious and comfortable although heating controls didn't work properly. no tea and coffee facilities in the room.

Thanks for you review,

The city tax has started from the 1st Jannuary of 2011, unfortunatly in Italy tea facilities in the room are not permitted for fire department restrictions, the hatel have a bar service starting from 7.30 to 23.00.

Regards

“TRES TRES DECUE!!!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012

I was VERY VERY VERY VERY disappointed by my stay.
- The bathroom was small contrary to what was said on website.
- The walls are so thin that we can hear all what is happening in the next bedrooms...
- People from the hotel make reparations or cleaning in the corridor at 8 AM! I AM ON HOLIDAYS!!!
- The breakfast was very basic, not very good and is ALWAYS the same thing each day. And we have to ask for cofee, which arrives COLD!!
- There is only one elevator for 6 floors of bedrooms so we often wait a long time before it comes.
- There is a second elevator that gets blocked each time.
- On your website you mention free WIFII and internet in the room which is a lie! We have to pay for wifii (and it is VERY expensive) and it only works in the reception! A LIE!!! And internet on the TV is payable too! A LIE!!
- I choose this hotel party for the SPA but there was no massages available and the jacuzzi was closed! Really a shame!
I will NEVER come back to this hotel which is expensive for what it offers and I will not recommend it to anyone!!!!!!

“Fine for budget travelling”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

Before my trip to Rome I spent quite some time browsing through these reviews to try and get a picture of what to expect of this hotel. So I thought I'd lay down my two cents in this...
Firstly, the hotel rooms were just fine, clean enough and at an "okay" standard. Unfortuneatly we got a room with no windows (there are a few of them actually!), but at least we didn't notice any noise. The beds aren't very comfortable, but it was just fine.
The drain in the shower was clogged though, so when we had a shower, the water went all the way into the bedroom, but it was okay. Marble floors, so nothing got soaked, and we just let them know when we left. The man in the reception laughed it away and said that "we create pool...for you!!" He was so funny, he almost made everything worth it!
The staff is not snippy, sour or angry. I think it depends on where you're from. Maybe if you're from the US, you are used to the staff always having a fake glued-on smile, but we're from Norway, so it's not uncommon that people don't always smile while talking. I found the staff quite pleasant and helpful.
If you can afford to stay somewhere else, DO IT. But if you're on a budget and you just need somewhere to sleep for a weekend, this place is just fine.
However, some people here say that the breakfast is awful and that you should upgrade it... Don't. It's not worth it. It's STILL awful! Save your money and go out for breakfast instead :)
Hope you found this helpful!

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a window.

“Decent hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 January 2012

Stayed at the Hotel with group of friends.
Location is good, close to Termini but not too close so you do not see all the dirt and homeless people of Termini.
Rooms are clean and well maintained but quite basic. Extremely small TV and pillows. I stayed in a room on the 6th floor on a side street with a balcony and it was very quite. My friends had a room facing the main street and it was noisy to sleep.
All in all it is a decent 2 or 3 star hotel but it is definitely not a 4 star hotel and is highly overpriced if you pay a standard rate of ~200EUR per night.

Room Tip: ask for the room on the upper floor with a balcony facing the side street

“Backpackers pretending to be 4 star”

Solution to aircon that is stuck at 28C ? (exciting the bedbugs to bite all night) ...open your window to the smelly service alley/courtyard!  "you have no other choice...do that or you can just stay hot!".  Nice.  Such appalling customer service.  Once you've paid, you're garbage to these people. Enjoy Rome - choose a better hotel!
