Before my trip to Rome I spent quite some time browsing through these reviews to try and get a picture of what to expect of this hotel. So I thought I'd lay down my two cents in this...
Firstly, the hotel rooms were just fine, clean enough and at an "okay" standard. Unfortuneatly we got a room with no windows (there are a few of them actually!), but at least we didn't notice any noise. The beds aren't very comfortable, but it was just fine.
The drain in the shower was clogged though, so when we had a shower, the water went all the way into the bedroom, but it was okay. Marble floors, so nothing got soaked, and we just let them know when we left. The man in the reception laughed it away and said that "we create pool...for you!!" He was so funny, he almost made everything worth it!
The staff is not snippy, sour or angry. I think it depends on where you're from. Maybe if you're from the US, you are used to the staff always having a fake glued-on smile, but we're from Norway, so it's not uncommon that people don't always smile while talking. I found the staff quite pleasant and helpful.
If you can afford to stay somewhere else, DO IT. But if you're on a budget and you just need somewhere to sleep for a weekend, this place is just fine.
However, some people here say that the breakfast is awful and that you should upgrade it... Don't. It's not worth it. It's STILL awful! Save your money and go out for breakfast instead :)
Hope you found this helpful!
