“a lovely place to stay!”

We have choosen this B&B because of the location and the excellent reviews on tripadvisor. Have to admit, it's a wonderful place, all credits go to Marco, he is a natural born host. So I will never forget my 50th anniversary, when revisiting Rome we will not hesitate a moment to visit him and his B&b again! Ciao Marco,de Ann and Frank

Room Tip: We had the suite Pantheon, but we heard that all the guests were very pleased with their room

“For a genuine experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2012

As it was my fourth time going to Rome, I was very particular when looking for a place to stay. In my experience, hotels in Rome are overpriced and not good value for money, and often a little dusky. A Bed & Breakfast on the other hand is more personal and genuine, which was what I wanted.

At Suites Trastevere B&B you get a perfectly clean and bright room, with a very comfortable bed (I wanted to bring the pillow home with me) and a clean bathroom and. As you see, the rooms are wonderfully decorated, and I loved staying in the Pantheon room.

People have noted that the walls are thin, and the doors are not isolated so noise gets in easily. I was not really bothered by this, as the Pantheon room is next to the kitchen and people only were there in the morning, when we were awake and getting ready anyways!

The area is nice and the tram and bus connection is frequent, so it's no trouble getting around. I liked that its close to the Trastevere Station, so getting to and from the airport as well as villages outside of the city is easy!

As everyone else has pointed out - Marco is the perfect host, very friendly and helpful! His grandmother makes really good cakes, my boyfriend and I had some for a nighttime snack every night. The breakfast is OK, but not nutritious - it's pastries, cereal, toast and fruit. As Scandinavians, we usually eat healthier things, but when in Rome, do as the Romans!

I highly recommend the cooking class that is offered, if you want to do something not everyone gets to do! It was a great experience, Virgina was nice and a good teacher, and the food was great! It was very good value, and you bring home some great secrets.

Room Tip: The Pantheon room only gets noise from the kitchen, not from the other rooms!

“Anniversary Celebration”

The Suites Trastevere is a small B&B that is spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated to provide a truely special visit to Rome. Marco is the perfect host with breakfasts a pleasure and his advice on the best way to get around and see the city well worth listening to. I would have no hesitation in recommending the Suites Trastevere to anybody and the Station restaurant next door (10% discount if you mention that you are staying in the Suites Trastevere) is excellent for quality and value for money. With easy access to the centre of the city (tram and bus) and the airport (train) this really is an excellent choice of a base to visit Rome.

“it's not like there aren't over 200 excellent reviews here.....”

so what could I possibly add? first off, if you didn't have a friend in rome, you will once you stay here. marco is amazingly generous and friendly. he even has his grandmother make cakes he brings for your breakfast. anything you need, day or night, he will help you with. one night I went to a restaurant recommended by a friend back home but they were closed for the holiday. I called marco - with the cel phone he provides each guest room with! - and this is like after 8pm - and he gave me several suggestions and how to find them. the rooms were very nice. I was in the smallest of them all, the little villa borghese room. it was just a single bed, but it fit me and I could sleep in it, which is all I ask. as other guests have mentioned, it's not really soundproofed and there was a family with a small child who were up in the morning so if you are a late sleeper who needs quiet, that is a consideration. however, the child was very sweet and I would come out and greet them, have some juice and then catch another 20 minutes of sleep before I was ready to start my day. as well, the location is superb. I was very lucky that all the guests were friendly and it really added to the experience. I think if you are an outgoing and friendly person, marco provides a nice environment for you.

“Quaint and Nice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 December 2011

Suites Trastevere is a very nice B&B. The rooms are small but this is typcial in Rome and I don't mind small rooms if they are clean. This is a very clean B&B. The major downside is you can hear everything from one room to the next. So it really isn't a great place for couples making use of spare time. Breakfast is simple. I would prefer a selection of meats for breakfast but this is just a personal preference. You can walk or take the bus or tram from the B&B to tourist area but it is not that far to walk. Another great feature is the free cell phone to use locally around town. That was a nice gesture on the part of the owner.
