As it was my fourth time going to Rome, I was very particular when looking for a place to stay. In my experience, hotels in Rome are overpriced and not good value for money, and often a little dusky. A Bed & Breakfast on the other hand is more personal and genuine, which was what I wanted.
At Suites Trastevere B&B you get a perfectly clean and bright room, with a very comfortable bed (I wanted to bring the pillow home with me) and a clean bathroom and. As you see, the rooms are wonderfully decorated, and I loved staying in the Pantheon room.
People have noted that the walls are thin, and the doors are not isolated so noise gets in easily. I was not really bothered by this, as the Pantheon room is next to the kitchen and people only were there in the morning, when we were awake and getting ready anyways!
The area is nice and the tram and bus connection is frequent, so it's no trouble getting around. I liked that its close to the Trastevere Station, so getting to and from the airport as well as villages outside of the city is easy!
As everyone else has pointed out - Marco is the perfect host, very friendly and helpful! His grandmother makes really good cakes, my boyfriend and I had some for a nighttime snack every night. The breakfast is OK, but not nutritious - it's pastries, cereal, toast and fruit. As Scandinavians, we usually eat healthier things, but when in Rome, do as the Romans!
I highly recommend the cooking class that is offered, if you want to do something not everyone gets to do! It was a great experience, Virgina was nice and a good teacher, and the food was great! It was very good value, and you bring home some great secrets.
Room Tip: The Pantheon room only gets noise from the kitchen, not from the other rooms!
