“Location, Location, Location”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 July 2011

We were sent to this location for one night when their associate guest house was overbooked. I am very glad that is was for only one night because it was a major disappointment. Where shall I start ...

The place was really far away from everything and there are no restaurants near by, the subway is blocks away and mostly hills (which is really bad when you are carrying luggage). It is surrounded by embassy's and high security bank buildings. There are armed guards on almost every corner and you can watch them pacing from the balcony of the room.

The air conditioning did not work very well, windows had huge drafts and did not close properly.

The bathroom set up was really strange. The shower was literally across a small hall from the bathroom and there was no place to dress. You had to undress and dress in the shower or wrap yourself in a towel and go to the bathroom in full view of the rest of the room. Both the shower and bathroom are located right inside the entry door so you had to time a shower when no one was coming or going from the room. They should have added a drape to the bathroom area in order provide more privacy.

We cannot comment on the breakfast because we did have any. We were scheduled to leave 30 minutes before their 'breakfast window' and they could not accommodate us despite that fact that there was no one else staying at the B&B while we were there.

It is located inside a residential building and you can smell people cooking at night and see their laundry hanging from the balconies.

The room was bigger than most of the other places we stayed in while in Europe, but not worth the price due to the inconveniences and bad location. Would not recommend this location to anyone, there are way to many and better choices in Rome...

Room Tip: We did not post pictures because their pictures are pretty accurate.

“Very over priced hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 July 2011

We have stayed 3 nights in this hotel which I can not describe as hotel because the owner rents the rooms of his apartment flat which has 3 rooms. We have expreienced all rooms in our stay. Suit room and deluxe rooms is really good but I can not say the same for the standard room. There is only one staff which is really very kind and helpful. Location is good but next time I will prefer to stay at an hotel around Navona. Breakfast in not good that they are serving only butter and jam. The price of the rooms should be 2/3 of what we have paid.

“perfect experience, better breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 July 2011

we stayed at superior room. the guy over there is great. he always tried to help us about places, and directions. You can ask anything to him and be sure that he will give the right answer. The bed is okay but the breakfast could be better. Also there is no place to eat so they serve the breakfast to the room.

“Would still be a dump at half the price”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 June 2010

Mr Johnny was gracious enough. His Italian/English is nearly passable; but, his kindness makes up for it.
The room was spacious and grand. However, upon closer inspection, a little maintenance would elevate this dump from falling-apart to rather charming and quaint. Its appearance (and, location) ought to be "elegance"...however, it is in need of repair and attention. Dirty light switches; missing bulbs in lamps; "disco-fridgette" (light in fridge was a constant blink); bathroom light fixture was hanging from wires and caused one of the only bright bulbs in the whole room to "twitch"; drawer on armoire broken of hinges; keys to wardrobe falling out and off; a/c was good(!); shower was crazy and dirty.
For us, it was an adventure. However, I cannot recommend it in its current state. It has incredible potential if only the owners would recognize it.

“Very Over Priced; OK location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 May 2010

We paid Euros 160 per night from bookings.com for this place. It was WAY OVER PRICED for the rooms we got. We stayed 3 nights at this B&B. It's a stone's throw away from the Barberini subway station, but it's an uphill walk - not very good if you have lots of luggage. We had emailed the B&B asking for directions a couple of days prior to arrival but there was no response. Nonetheless we managed to find out way there. They have an indian man (from Chennai) manning the reception on the days were were there, so not much help regarding local knowledge and recommendation. Rooms were big, but noisy as the rooms we had had windows facing a main road and a club down the road. Breakfast was extremely disappointing expecially for the price we paid - croissant came in a bag. We paid less for rooms in Venice and Florence and we had fresh bread and croissants daily! Hot water was very inconsistent - you get it hot then cold then hot then cold without having to adjust the tempreature. Rooms look nothing like in the picture.
