Location: In an upper class apartment building on a quiet side street in Trastevere, with great access to tram lines, restaurants, and attractions.
Hint: There is no exterior sign, so take note of the address and press a button next to Mite to gain access. Once in the building, walk past the first elevator and take the second elevator to the floor.

Accommodations: I was impressed by the spotless well furnished room in a large apartment with common living room, kitchen facilities, fridge, DSL internet access. I shared the large and very well equipped bathroom with one other room. Enjoyed the luxury of soaking in a large bathtub with the option of a separate shower.
Hint: If you want to save on dining, one can store and prepare food in the apartment. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, plates and condiments. The breakfast here was in the form of a continental breakfast voucher good at a coffee shop across the street. If you want heartier fare, shop and use the kitchen.

Service: The proprietors were wonderful, with great advice on everything from getting around Rome to where to shop. They work other jobs, so one must provide an estimated time of arrival.

The apartment was fantastic. Tucked awayin a quite location yet in the heart of Trastevere, lovely to wander around with fantastic shops, restuarants & bars. The centre of Rome is a short walk or quick hop on the tram to all the major attractions.

Mite is listed as a 2-star establishment b/c of price & size but they are a 4 to 5-star establishment in our opinion. No, there are not extravagant rooms & amenities but when we are on vacation we want the hotel to be a clean, friendly, and well located place to be comfortable and Mite provided all of that and then some for our recent 4 night stay.

We had a very nice & spacious room (especially for Italy), a large bathroom that we did not need to share because the room next to us was not occupied, everything was clean, there was a pleasant main/living room for us all to share, high-speed DSL for free & a computer to use it on, and a full kitchen (with coffee maker, tea, pots&pans, refrigerator, plates, cups, etc.) for open use and so we even cooked a few meals with fresh food picked at the markets.

The location was, in our opinion, perfect as it is in a more residential area so much more quiet at night we never heard noise while sleeping. At the same time, we were centrally located to all the sites we wanted to see and walked to every place in a short amount of time.

Last, but not least, the gentlemen who run the place are fantastic. Very friendly, funny, and we knew that if we needed anything it would be taken care of....but we never needed anything because it was all taken care of. Thank you guys!!!

Very nice appartment in an excellent area to stay in Rome (Trastevere), if you like staying at quiet, residential area, yet just minutes walk away from the ancient sites or night-time restaurants.
