“Avoid at all costs!”

This is by far the worst hotel we ever stayed in. The problems began before we even checked-in - it took us forever to find this place, even though i had printed directions and phone numbers. After running up and down the stairs of 5-6 buildings, we finally found the place. The door turned out to be closed with a note saying to go to another building to pick up the key. The neighborhood was sketchy, so our family had to be dragged together everywhere. After we got the key, we had to go back to that closed door - thats where this "hotel" actually was.
Room was ok, quite small, but acceptable. There was noone at the reception though, they had "opening hours" from i think 8 am to 10:30am. So if you needed smth, you had to wait until then. Those women didn't speak any English.
Breakfast wasn't good, in the basement of a dirty local bar, where they asked us 10 times for our names to make sure we're entitled for a croissant with coffee.
Neighborhoods are never safe in the central station areas and this one is no exception. Do not walk alone in late evening, unless you're with 2-3 men in the group.
Finally, when we were leaving at 4am, we tried to wake up those thai receptionists who were sleeping on the floor behind the reception desk. They just said smth in their language, turned around and continued sleeping!!!
Overall a terrible experience! Avoid this place, there are much much nicer places in Rome for the same value.

“High quality B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 May 2010

This is my second trip to Rome with my wife, i found this B&B perfect , big rooms , private bathroom, air condition, big LCD TV, and a pc in our room . Staff was very helpful, the room was clean and the good position near Termini central station was perfect for visiting the monuments walking or taking the bus. I saw other hotels ( 2-3 star hotels) who didn't had the conditions we had in this wonderfull B&B. i hope to come back next year.

“PROBABLY THE WORST HOTEL I HAVE EVER STAYED IN”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 February 2010

Recently stayed for 3 nights in Rome with my brother. Arrived at a different hotel to pick up keys, our hotel fine, though totally unstaffed. Arrived back late on 2nd night to a note telling us we had to move hotels(!) as they had given our room to a family! Relocated next day to find they had given us a double room so they had to squash a camp bed in - which meant we couldnt open the shutters on the window, never mind the window itself. Worse still was frog marched back to the original hotel to pay for the 1st 2 nights there for some reason. Breakfast was a small coffee and croissant stood up in a local bar. Finally on our last morning was woken up by staff arriving for duty at 6.30am but made so much noise i thought there was an indoor football match taking place - i kid you not. Ideal location of hotel next to Termini and room(s) were spotless but DO not be swayed by this - avoid this hotel at all costs. This was my 5th trip to Italy/Rome and my worst hotel expereince EVER.

Sorry for what happened, his impression it seems a bit much exaggerated, but at least we are happy to offer him the clean rooms.

“you better speak Italian”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 July 2009

it was a nice stay, although a little chaotic. at arrival we were supposed to check in at hotel viennese, what we did. we got a room at hotel les artes, just a few meters around the corner. we were confused though, because nobody explained to us, why our room is at a different hotel as we ordered. the staff at les artes didn't speak any english and was present just from 0900 to 1030 am, so we had to walk to hotel viennese to get any kind of information. the room was very clean, the bathroom was a little older, but it was more than fine. the tv wasn't lcd, but it didn't matter, because there were just Italian channels. although the safe was provided also, there weren't any instrucions and since the staff didn't understand a word in english, we cound not use it. location was fine, a quite street near the termini station. I would recommend, you do better, if you speak a little Italian.

We had a technical problem, so your stay is done at another facility. We regret the incident, but we have arranged at a B & B in the same building.
thanks
