“Excellent B&B!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 July 2011

I have liked my stay in Parioli House very much during the five nights that I was staying there. The B&B has only a few rooms and is located on the first floor of the building. It is very quiet, very clean, and also the rooms are cleaned every day. My room (a double room for single use) had a private bathroom, a television and air conditioning which functioned perfectly. Next to the entrance door there is a table where you can take a coffee or a tea (also camomille) and where you can find biscotti and cornflakes. Every morning the waitress leaves a small plate in the room with some refreshments to have breakfast. The possibility to take a coffee or tea at any moment and the small refreshments in the morning were one of the things I like most about the B&B. Further, the B&B is not at walking distance from the center (it takes 35/40 minutes to arrive at the Termini train station and the same to Piazza di Spagna), but it’s not too far away from the center if you like walking. Otherwise there are perfect bus connections (I can advice bus 62 which goes from via Nomentana to Piazza Barberini, Via del Corso, Piazza Venezia and Largo di Torre Argentina) and it takes more or less 10 minutes to arrive at the closest metro station. The area is very nice, much cosier compared to the area around Termini Station. There are plenty of nice restaurants and there is also a cinema. There were only two things which I found a little negative. Firstly, It was a pity that there was no mobile phone reception in my room. For 4 days there was only one small place, near the window, where my telephone did have phone reception. But on the last day also on that place my telephone didn’t get a signal any more. Secondly, my room had a window, but it was a window with a view over the corridor. Because of that I sometimes felt myself a little cut off from the whether and from the world outside. Except for these two small negative things, I have enjoyed my stay in Parioli House very much. Because I often come back to Rome, I have stayed in quite a few hotels/hostels/B&B in Rome. Parioli House is one of the best where I have been staying until now.

“I love Roma!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 May 2011

I was staing there 10 nights. The hotel is located very successfully, it is cozy and cleaned. Manager of hotel and his employees are very affable.
I would be glad to return again to Rome and to stop in Pariolihouse.

“Hotel on a building site (April 2011)”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 April 2011

We arrived on Good Friday in time for the Easter weekend at around 3pm and were told that we could not check in until 6.30pm (on the web site they advise that check in is from 10.30 onwards). In the meantime we were offered to leave our bags in a communal area which was not secure. We were eventually given a room and were told straight away that we would be moved to another room the next day. The hotel is near the city centre (but not within walking distance). Currently, the building within which the B&B is located is delapidated and like a building site. There are exposed wires, scaffolding is about to go up and is not very appealing. The courtyard and the communal areas leading to the front door look worse than the Colosseum. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The wifi is unreliable and we had to ask for the router to be reset twice during our 4 night stay. Unless you are in room 3 reception is poor. Most of the time there is no mobile phone reception. Breakfast is very modest: coffee and juice, dry cake and crispy bread. There are no plates or glasses on offer. There are flakes but there are no spoons nor bowls to eat them with. We got woken up at 9.30 on Sunday morning by the maid asking us if we wanted the breakfast tray for the next day. The TV is so small you need binoculars to see what is happening. The sheets had holes in them. The shower cubicle is extremely small and could have done with a clean. Shower gel is provided but no shampoo. I would not stay again here. Not good value for money.
